I am not buying this guy's story. He is a supposedly a reputable deep sea explorer and treasure hunter, but this mysterious formation is not in his "sphere of interest."? Are you kidding me? This thing if it is a UFO could be the find of the century and more important than any sunken ship or pirate's treasure. So, he thinks this is mysterious and unlike anything he has seen in the past? Yet, he does not want to go down there at this moment to get a better look? My guess this is ploy as others have alluded to on here, and he is fishing for funds on another expedition of some kind? It is probably a space impact or a natural rock formation.

On another note, if it is of importance and of extraterrestrial origin some government would have seized control of any expedition taking place around there. What is there excuse every time? Oh yeah, national security implications. Moreover, no one will ever hear anything about it. Just look up Operation Azorian, and the CIA/Navy recovery of sunken Soviet submarine K-129 in one of the deepest waters of the Pacific Ocean. This thing is at a depth of 87 meters, and as some have said is nothing for any underwater expedition. I am not buying the story by the guy who claimed to have discovered this. If it is as big as being billed scientists, sea explorers, oceanographers, governments, and you name would be there like gang busters. We shall see what transpires from this? Interesting story, but is it something to latch on to?

Perhaps he is sincere. Perhaps he believes that he may have actually found something which is different to what he might expect in which case going public is the best possible course of action he could take so that the powers that be can't secrete it away somewhere.

It sounds interesting. He said there is a lot of hard sand and stone down there so it might be some kind of city that would have been covered back when the floods took place in Noahs day. No telling, but I will be waiting for this update.

Peter Lindberg "Ok folks here are some relevant information; We will equipe the ROV with a real time 3D-sonar so we can get really nice images at close range. To get a more overwiew image we will use a multibeam sonar and an ordinary side scan sonar. We will have divers with rebreather equipment with us but they will be sent down as a last option. We have also thought about geiger-equipment. But right now there is not enough funds so we can proceed, we working on it though"

do you have any particular time frame for this exploration ?

this is gonna be interesting to find out what it is....if the general population knows it's there, then any government won't be able to deny it's there...so..they won't be able to hide it from he public...if it turns out to be another stonehenge type structure...then there's a possibility it could turn out to be what's left of atlantis...which in itself could be the find of all history....if it's a UFO that sank, after a major malfunction...then all the skeptics are gonna set themselves on fire...lmao.....we can only hope for that....roflmao.....anyway...let's hope they can get diwn there soon, and give the world a close-up view

This looks to me like a Spud can depression from a previous jack-up rig drilling position....
If they look around they may find another 2 in an equilateral triangle formation.
87 metres of water depth would be feasible.
60 feet diameter is correct for spud can size.

here is an animation showing a rig jacking up, in this case alongside a wellhead platform, but usually when drilling exploratory wells, there will be no fixed platform nearby.

When the rig leaves location after a month or so, they leave their footprints on the seabed and there has been plenty of oil exploration in the Baltic Sea.

Nice idea but it ain't quite 60m.

However I did find out that if a rig dug and caused a sink-hole, then it is possible it would leave a 60m diameter indentation.

Edit: Apparently this object was originally reported as being 60 feet in diameter, news now is that it's 60metres.

I can't image that world powers haven't already been down and around this "thing" or are trying to get the location.

Assuming these guys have searched the records for past oil mining sites then these objects could possibly be some ancient structures, however, I couldn't find any evidence of previous sites found in the region. So on that assumption, I'm saying it's something strange or something really stupid
