true, they've been bought with u.s. taxpayer money, but they have to get rid of the more obsolete ones.

after the war, when israel needs to restock, the embezzlement can begin again. politicians, getting massive donations from military contractors, will authorize more "aid" to israel, israel then buys the weapons from the defence contractors and the ceo's of the defence contractors buy a new 32,000 square foot summer retreat. with your money of course.

I have yet to flag this because every few months there is a new source that says that there will be war with Iran. I do not really think there will be a war with Iran as the USA and israel has too much to lose in the region. At least not a conventional war. There is already a war going on in the form of sanctions.

Well...not to be pedantic but I'm almost certain you wouldn't wake up one day find your guys missing, and then think "Obama has finally done it". Plus, there is no possible way you can just make guns illegal. That's a rather big business holding many jobs. They are more focused on LIMITING.

This would be the stupidest thing Israel could do. Not only would Russia shoot down all the missiles fired at them but they would utterly destroy the "Holy land" in retaliation.

Oh you must have forgot that they will fight it out in the Gog-Magog war and Israel soundly thumps Russia and the Arabs. Israel has state of the Art Missile defense systems and with the U.S. having Aegis destroyers in the area that is even more ABM capability. Russia's missiles will never get through and they will stop trying knowing they will need some left to fight the U.S.-NATO or China some day. Its already prophesied in the bible so its gonna happen. Russia will lose 2/3 rds of her army.

The ABM capability is only limited to mid course on the aegis. It is unable to defend against boost and terminal. Plus Israel does not have enough missiles to stop all incoming missiles

Oh yeah we all heard about Russia's new ubber stealth maneuvering MIRV's but they have yet to deploy one that even works. Hell they haven't even hit one target in a test to date with their new missiles. Its so bad they are thinking about canceling the program.

Like I said, they will keep a lot of nukes in reserve because they will be really worried about a future war with the U.S. or China. Israel has a whole lot more than you think. Israel has every phase of flight covered that it needs to and the U.S. has them all covered now with the Air borne laser.

Israel has the Arrow 2 for long range interceptors, improved Patriot 3 for medium and Iron dome for the rest as well as a few classified laser projects.

Like I said, the U.S. will use every ABM system it has to protect Israel from nukes. We will not be in the fight but we will throw everything we can in the air to help shoot them down.

Incorrect. Its stated CEP is 200m. Check it. Do you have a source stating that they haven't hit a target?

US ABM is for USA only, not for anyone else. Israel can do this on its own. Also the US ABM system is designed to protect only non-maneuvering targets. Dude you really need to wake up.

A war with Iran is much more difficult then the previous/current wars, personally I don't think we can win without tactical nukes. Not in the state the US is now, morale is low, public opinion of the current wars very low. This is why they are taking their time with it, and they WILL not be stopped it is too late for that. Don't forget, Iran is number 12 in the military power rankings, impressive considering. They are indeed the Iron rod of the Middle east this is why tptb need them taken out without confrontation with China or Russia(WHICH IS NOT GUARANTEED)

As a US citizen I flat out OPPOSE any aggression towards Iran! They are a peaceful nation defending themselves, even if they are building nukes. We are imperialist assholes, and Israel should be labeled the number one terrorist nation state in all of Asia and Northern Africa. I have never spoken this way about the US or Israel, I never knew the horrors they/we have commited until coming to this site a few years ago.

We Americans are in this state of disarray for backing Israel. Once we let go of this cancer, our conditions will get better.

The nation that Israel has to worry most about right now is Syria, not Iran. Assad is looking for some way to get world attention away from himself. Syria has both biological and gas weapons, which were delivered to his country by Saddam just before US first attacked. Several Syrian scientist were killed about a year ago trying to load gas warheads onto scud missiles. As desperate as Assad is I wouldn't be surprised that he launches missiles against Israel either from Syria or Lebanon. If he uses gas or biological weapons, Israel will retaliate with nukes. Good bye Damascus.

Lebanon, Egypt, Hamas and possibly even Jordan will then attack Israel to help Syria. Israel will defeat them all as they have done twice in the past. Next will be attacks from Iran, Russia and Turkey. They're gone too. Israel has field grade nukes that will take out Russian tanks, and Iron Dome shield to stop Iranian missiles. Russian fighters aren't capable of defeating Israeli fighters. Russia isn't going to risk using nukes on Israel because they know that US would back up Israel if that happens.

I used to feel the same, but now I KNOW the truth about Israel. We should cut em adrift for the preservation of our country. It is written! Israel is #ing doomed, they will push them into the sea, and trample the holy city. We will go down with them, guaranteed! This is it friends, the great Gog war Ezekiel spoke of. I think this best fits what I was about to say.

What gets me is that even though this doesn't directly pertain to the US, we will get involved anyway. Even if Israel does invade Iran, we could sit it out. The reason I say this is because the majority of the population of the United States does not want war. Why then, when our leaders are supposed to represent our interests, do we go to war anyway?

This better need congressional approval, because this is a big deal...if it happens of course. I will refrain from saying some of the things I want to about Israel, not involving religion, but their "politics," and how religion affects those politics.

Congressional approval could happen as well. We all know that the members of Congress are briefed directly by the people who would want this war, so will they be convinced? Will back-room deals be struck to get us into another mess, while our economy hangs by a thread? Will the wartime economy be a benefit to us, or will it be the final nail in the coffin?
