The G should also raise more taxes, to get america out of their debt problems. America, you created the debt problem, NOW it is time to fix it. RAISE TAXES, CUTS, CUTS,CUTS, AND more spending to help protect the bases.

Just to clear things up a bit.. it would NOT be a civil war... it would be a revolution.

The most important difference between a revolution and a civil war is that civilians directly revolt against the government in a revolution whereas factions wage a war against each other in a civil war.

And yes... the S would definitely hit the fan.

Unfortunately... I would think the majority of Americans would say "gee thats too bad. What time is American Idol on tonight?".

if the money that people paid into the system was still there no problems but its not people are getting money out of that system that they have never paid into.

since social securitys inception the government has stolen every cent from it because it is spending too much and no amount of raising taxes will ever fix that.

Entitlements. Like an insurance CO. This does not garentee you get it or even all of it, OK. The G needs it to pay for legitimate use to help out you and i out of this mess, YOU ALL, created, OK.

yeah i do considering you will still be spending the same amount on more entitelements.

instead of 50 million americans living off social security you will have double

instead of another 50 million americans on welfare you will have double it

all paid by those who do work but wait for it raising taxes will bankrupt more people instead of funding those entitlements you will be putting more on them.

thats where you end up the money comes from somewhere its quite a shame people never realize where it does come from.

a small percentage of people in this country pay for everyone else and when there are no more of them then where are you going to get the cash from?

people need to end the selfishness and greed and that means people thinking they are entitled to other peoples money.

because that path you push is the path were no one has any and everyone is living in abject poverty.

HEY, you voted for it, it got passed for social security. What are you complainning about. The gov't does it's best to help out. OBAMA trying to pass this medical thing and all he gets is flack. It would be best if social security did stop coming, that would be the end of a socialist program. It would be better if the investment was in gold or silver, but in simply dollars then this is a humiliating program because we all know the dollar loses value, so what you put in is not equal to what you get back.
