The widow of a reporter who blew the whistle on phone hacking has said his death had come as a "tremendous shock"
"But this has still been a tremendous shock and a day I had always dreaded and hoped would never come because we wanted to continue to laugh, love and grow old together."

I certainly hope your not calling me a ********.
Also it has emerged that Lord Leveson, the judge who will lead the hacking inquiry has said he had attended functions with Rupert Murdoch's son-in-law - but that he had informed Prime Minister David Cameron of this before the appointment was announced.
The programme spoke to a journalist who worked on the paper in the past decade who claimed to have witnessed routine phone hacking in the newsroom.
The source said celebrities including actress Liz Hurley and footballer Rio Ferdinand were targeted.

Whats the odds we get a 'possible bomb plot' headline going off in the next few days.... or an actual bomb going off someplace?
Mensch tells me that this week she suddenly started to receive a lot of attention from the non-Murdoch tabloid groups. I am told that her office even received a strange call from a newspaper, immediately after the Select Committee hearings ended: the ominous question posed was "Can you confirm you are pregnant?". There have been a range of other press contacts.
Guido Fawkes has now tweeted there are orders to "get Mensch" from the "very top" and there would be a damaging story about her private life this coming Sunday. I do not know if that is correct; but it certainly is not a pleasant prospect for anyone.
“Then,” Morgan wrote, “anyone can call your number and, if you don’t answer, tap in the standard four digit code to hear all your messages.” He added, archly, “I’ll change mine just in case, but it makes me wonder how many public figures and celebrities are aware of this little trick.”
Singer Amy Winehouse post-mortem date to be set
Celebrity friends and her fans have been paying tribute to the singer, Amy Winehouse. The police are to fix a date later for the post-mortem examination into the death of Amy Winehouse.
The singer's body was found on Saturday afternoon at her home in Camden, north London, where hundreds of fans gathered over the weekend to pay tribute.

Maybe I've seen to many movies but I am sure that there are people who would like to tell the truth to the world but just can not. One such a person must be Neil Armstrong.
My limited talent for judging characters tells me that Neil Armstrong is a honest, straightforward and no nonsens kind of guy....a person with principals and a good heart. If you'd ask me he is suckered into this whole Apollo moonlanding lie.
Something does just not add up with that first moonlanding and he would like to tell us but can not. He is very aware of the power these people in the top have and probably have promised him that they will distroy every Armstrong generation after him if he would spill the beans. If it was just himself they would kill or distroy, he would not care to sacrifice himself for the truth.
A demonstration of their power must have been the 'accident' of those three austronauts while training procedures in the capsule. Grissom was killed along with fellow astronauts Ed White and Roger Chaffee during a pre-launch test for the Apollo 1 mission. Grissom had not much fate in the Apollo program and rumours are that he considered it impossible with the technology of that time.
The people who step forward and inform the people about what the truth is should be considered true heroes and much appreciated. Unfortunately...depending how deep the rabbit-hole goes....there are no garantees for protection of these couragious people.
Forgive me If I'm a little slow, but when did fake moon landings come into all this?
On topic. I'm watching the enquiry now. I must admit I am deriving some amount of pleasure from watching them squirm. I can't wait for the Murdochs to appearedit on 19-7-2011 by Bumface Jones because: (no reason given)
Sara Payne, whose eight-year-old daughter Sarah was abducted and murdered in July 2000, has been told by Scotland Yard that they have found evidence to suggest she was targeted by the News of the World's investigator Glenn Mulcaire, who specialised in hacking voicemail.
Police had earlier told her correctly that her name was not among those recorded in Mulcaire's notes, but on Tuesday officers from Operation Weeting told her they had found her personal details among the investigator's notes. These had previously been thought to refer to a different target.
The mother of murder victim Sarah Payne has been told by Scotland Yard her phone may have been targeted by an investigator working for the News Of The World,
