One of the practical concerns regarding a mosque to be built in a community is this: Sharia law states that a mosque is permanent and the land it is built on will forever be holy. And "forever" literally means forever. This means that once a mosque is built, it can never be taken down, and the mosque and the land it is built on can never be used for anything else. There are a number of problematic implications of this:
1. A nation that allows mosques to be built within its borders is giving up some of its sovereignty. According to Sharia law, not even the government has the authority to remove a mosque or use it for something else.
2. Even if the demographics of a community change dramatically, removing the need for a mosque, it can never be taken down or used for anything else.
3. By allowing a mosque to be built under Sharia law, the community is affording the mosque and its patrons rights that are not afforded to any other religion, ideology, or group. It is diametrically opposed to the founding principles of the US as well as basic human rights.

And this leads me back to my original post.

Banning religion in towns/cities would work if it was only just establishing itself.
But trying to bring this around in an already established town/city, is just asking for trouble.

It needs to start at the top (within gov.) first.
But as far as personal beliefs go, that will always be personnal
and gov. needs to keep it's hands off.

he is very right.

Text"Of course, it is hurtful especially because we feel he did not listen to both sides," Sbenaty said, "It's very hard for us to image that someone would listen to a few radicals who are accusing and making false claims." — Daily News Journal partner WSMV c

ok just let that slide people.

no problem! right?

lolololol!

give me a friggin break. just a couple nut jobs we won't turn over to you, where is the problem??

another good one,

"Each time you have someone who is regarded as a mainstream political leader expressing these kind of hate-filled views, it just fans the flames of anti-Muslim bigotry nationwide," he said. "And it gives legitimacy to intolerance and hatred. And he, of all people, should realize this, being African-American."

i guess appealing to his blackness is some kind of solidarity?

how frikkin weak.

More of the Tea Bagger's real agenda comes out, To willingly deny a group of people in The United States Of America the right to worship in a manner of thier own choosing.

They want to ban porn, ban religious houses, ban everything that makes America America.

Yet, more of the idiots think that oppressing people using fantacial ideaologies is a good idea but in reality is a nail in the coffin of America.

THE TEA PARTY AZZHATS OR WHATEVER THEY ARE CALLING THEMSELVES TODAY DO NOT REPRESENT YOU, AMERICA OR ANY PERSON FOR THAT MATTER AS THEY EXIST BECAUSE TOO MANY ARE AWARE OF THE CON THAT IS THE "LEFT-V-RIGHT" PARADIGM AND ARE CONVINCING PEOPLE THAT THIS GROUP OF ANTI AMERICAN, ANTI FREEDOM AND ANTI CONSTITUTION SWINE REPRESENTS YOU.

QUIT BEING DECIVED. TPTB ARE THE OWNERS OF THIS GROUP JUST TO SUCKER A NEW BREED OF AMERICANS!

WAKE UP PEOPLE BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

By the way, the next person to defend this will be labled as Anti American as no more distinctions are to made from here on out, either you are for America or you are for this group!

To keep this post relevant to the topic and that is that by orders of the 1st Amendment that no state, county or city has the legal right to ban anyone from worship in a matter that they are most accostomed with.

We have a good law here in Slovakia to deal with these kinds of things - promoting ideologies or movements advocating breaches of basic human rights is punishable by up to three years in prison. This would apply to extremist islam as well.

I dont think banning all mosques is a good idea at all. But banning those extremist ones I support 100 %.

It all depends on the "brand" of Islam. Just like bible-thumper beliefs, there are a zillion different interpretations of Islam, some are fine and some are very dangerous.

Banning a mosque is a bad way to put it. Banning a group (this one happens to be Muslim) that hides behind a religion to undemocratically usurp existing laws is a better way of seeing it.

good way of putting it . Maybe countries should get more hindu immigrants in than muslim . You would prefer that way more than invasive islam , plus the hindus can counter the muslims better as they dont care to be polictically correct

theres not many muslims like that either. The revolutions in the mid east are not inspired by fundamentalist islam. Theyre inspired by universal values of justice, freedom, democracy & human rights. Al Queda & extremist islam are a total failure , they failed to mobilise the people of the middle east who were put off by their violent ideology. They've failed to do anything of note politically and their threat is grossly exaggerated by fear mongering politicians & police who want to erode our civil liberties.

The vast majority of muslims are peacefull and just want to get along. A tiny percentage are crazy extremists.

So in heavy Muslim communities, where Muslims are the majority, I take it you all support Muslims banning churches?

Herman Cain is just attempting to bolster his credentials as a candidate to be the Republican nomination in 2012.

I see his comments as little more than a thinly-veiled attempt at pandering towards the more knuckle-dragging section of the US public, who are absolutely petrified of Muslims, out of pure ignorance and media-induced hysteria.

He is not a Muslim and since you still believe an already disproven and debunked claim means you have no clear idea of what you talk about. Tell us how you really feel and please don't hold back as evidenced by your posting shows us your true colours.

Now go and re-enroll yourself in school and get an education as you are severely misinformed it is not funny!

Listen up and listen real good,

It is a violation of The 1st Amendment of The Constitution to deny someone the right to worship in the manner of their own choosing.

Read my following thread called "The complete text of The Constitution Of The United States Of America" :
www.abovetopsecret.com...

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" this also prohibits each individual state and metropolis anywhere under the jurisdiction from banning a faith.

It is you who wears the tinfoil hat.

This thread should've been in the HOAX forum instead of one of the legitimate news forums.

We need to write new laws dealing with Islam, and its nefarious ways.

Sounds more like the American Military than Islam to me.
