It is also not the greatest power in the world, but dependent on the support of another power, labelled the "Beast".
You need to look for that combination of features, or wait for them to appear.

I have read many of the "America is Babylon" interpritations. While I think it is possible, I don't know if it's probable.

IIMHO The primary reason America isn't directly mentioned in Scripture or Prophecy (besides that we weren't around) is because either the Rapture has taken a significant number of the population resulting in Chaos; or our economy has fallen so preciptously that we can't recover and are removed from the world stage; Or finally Nuclear terrorism/attack and/or Yellowstone erupts.....although that idea does lend a little more support to the idea we are Babylon I supposed, due to the destruction.

Um, Mystery Bablyon the Great is Jerusalem not america. The U.S. is a nation not a city. Some thought it was Rome but Rome is Widowed as her god/husband (caesar) is dead. The U.S. didn't kill any prophets and didn't kill the messiah or saints, but Jerusalem did. The messiah and the bride are anything but silent in this nation. We may be losing ground but we are still here. Jerusalem whored around for the Assyrian empire, and the Babylon and them Rome. Jerusalem is the whore of babylon.

Perhaps "drunk with the blood of saints" doesn't mean they killed saints. Perhaps it means they worship saints.

Wouldn't it be nice to think of Revelation as a Roman book for the martyrs to read and have good cheer as thet were being led to their deaths in the persecutions of old, and have absolutely nothing to do with current events and does not mean that anything in it has to literally come true?
Wouldn't it be nice if people had compassion on others and were concerned about their welfare, instead of sitting around daydreaming about a rapture that people were predicting would happen any day now, for the last two thousand years?

No sis, in the Bible you have "mystery Babylon" which is Catholicism, and you have the literal Babylon. The literal Babylon must again rise to prominence because it was never destroyed like the prophecies foretold in the Bible.

it's the beast that was, is not, and yet is. I have a slightly different take on it. I agree the whore is a religion but was identified by the colors of scarlet and purple"which corresponds with the catholic church and Vatican City, surrounded by seven hills.
The Beast is a form of governance we can only now identify as the New World Order. (which was, was not, but is) and hints to it's hidden agenda of global domination.
. Babylon in that, case could very well be New York City, since it is the "home" of the U.N., World Bank, IMF, WTO, and the Federal Reserve along with Wall street ,who as a combined body, controls virtually all trade and commerce world wide, and the U.N.'s Agenda 21, for global population control.
The mark of the beast, or 666, can be identified by recognizing that in the original Hebrew, numbers were represented by letters, with the letter W used for the number 6; thus 666=WWW.; or world wide web, which is the vehicle for all global monetary transactions.Plans for a total cashless society would be the mechanism by which "no man could buy or sell".without the "mark.
Since the invading Kings of the East,North,South etc. are bent on the destruction of Jerusalem, I feel the locations are given in geographic relation to Jerusalem, so America could not possibly be the king of the south.
I too, have thought about these mysteries for many years and this scenario, considering the impact the aforementioned entities have had on mankind, seems to put the pieces of the puzzle in place.

Matthew 23:35 WITH Revelations 18:24 (Jerusalem / Babylon and the blood of the saints)

Isaiah 47:7 WITH Revelation 18:7 (Jerusalem / Babylon and boasting followed by sudden destruction )

Jeremiah 4:30-31 WITH Revelation 17:4-16 (Jerusalem / Babylon and their appearance and destruction by its lovers )


However, I also feel irreligious, secular America has a major role to play in the end times. As a warmachine and a superpower, I believe it would be allied with Babylon, considering its support for Israel.

The truth is that the Vatican is Babylon. The Vatican is known as the city on Seven Hills, and it is a nation as well. It is also a financial power, as the Rothschilds and the Vatican work hand-in-hand in the banking world. The Catholic Church is behind the scenes in everything in this world, as they are the main power of the Illuminati. This is because the Catholic Church (position of the pope) is the antichrist, which is important to the Illuminati since they are Satanists. I have no idea about the books, never read them. But I know a few things from scripture about where he will come from. It says he "rises up out of the sea", which means the "great sea", the Mediterranean sea. The antichrist will consume 3 nations when he rises to power. He must carry three titles: "King of Babylon", "King of Tyre", and "Prince of Persia". He will control the areas of Lebanon, Iran, and Iraq.

Ancient Babylon was never destroyed the way it was prophesied to be destroyed. It's bricks will never be used again... this hasn't happened yet, the ancient bricks of Babylon were re-used by Saddam when he was trying to revive ancient Babylon. It also will never be inhabited again, people to this day still inhabit Babylon, and in the time of Alexander the great he made it his capital and died there. After it is destroyed the specialists will wait 7 months to go to the battlefield. (Nuclear)

When King Cyrus conquered Babylon he did it without a single battle, and even brags that he conquered Babylon without a battle. Clearly the prophesied destruction of Babylon hasn't happened yet as prophesied. With that said, there is also "Mystery Babylon", the woman that rides the beast. This is the Catholic Church.

No, the Vatican is the whore that rides the beast, she is "Mystery Babylon". However, there still must be the destruction of literal ancient Babylon. If not prophecy will be unfulfilled.

No, he comes out of the revived Roman Empire. People automatically think, "Hey, that's obviously Europe!" But not so fast, the Eastern leg of the Roman Empire out-lived the Western leg by over 1,000 years, we call it the Byzantine Empire today. That's the Roman Empire the antichrist will come from. All nations listed that Christ will personally judge are Muslim nations today.

Mecca is also a city on 7 hills.

the issue with daniel's prophecy is that many eschatologists tie it to the statue in nebuchadnezzar's dream and then only interpret it one way. the problem is, the thing can't be interpreted in the fashion most do. for example, the head was gold = babylon,
the shoulders and chest were silver = medea-persian,
the belly was brass = grecian
the legs were iron = pagan rome
the feet and toes were iron and miry clay = pagan rome + christianity.

these are empires. they number 5 and are supposed to constitute the entirety of history.
yet in revelation we see empire 6, 7 and 8!
the big secret is that empires 6, 7 and 8 are just 5 repeating itself in various guises, pretending it no longer is control when it is. was, is not, yet is.

now that all impacts how people view the events that occured. they want the toes of daniel's statue to be extremely long in order for the events in prophecy to fit in context. for example, they have to ignore the abomination of desolation that already occured, in favor of one that hasn't occured yet. as a result, they are looking for signs that have already passed, pushing signs that haven't happened yet, even further into the future, thereby muddling up the entire thing.

Read everything on this site and it will open a new path to your eyes that you never thought was there.

This will open your eyes to a different perspective. Think of this. What if the seven seals are already broken? What if the trumpets have already been blown? What if Christ has been doing these things over the last 2000 years as oppossed to secular teachings that its all going to happen in one giant wallop? Think of this passage in the bible.

Isaiah 55:8 "Your thoughts are not my thoughts, your ways are not my ways"

Perhaps with this passage from Isaiah, everything mankind has been thinking it knows about revelation has been a lie, a grand coverup by the Roman Catholic Church to throw a stumbling block into our paths.
