Unfortunately separate means not in the same cell. When you are in "jail" everyone is kept in the same building...just different cells.

Jail is not "Prison." Prison is where you go when you don't get out of jail. Prison is usually separate buildings. Holding cells for court... never.

This is a disturbing abuse of power. I would say\think this was some kind of joke but this really happened.

I saw a video and the prosecuting attorney was massaging the perpetrators back DURING proceedings.
