Just finished 11/22/63 by Stephen King. It was good but they changed quite a bit for the Hulu series.

Now back to the Dark Tower series: Song of Susannah

Just received The Cider House Rules as a gift from my sons, a teen and a tween. The clerk at the bookstore asked them what my interests were and they replied something along the lines of, "Books. She likes to read lots and lots of books."

So, here we are.

Oddly enough, it is a book that has been on my literary bucket list. So, YAY!

Codex of Alera series (about 6 books I think). By Jim Butcher (same author as Dresden Files).

While Jim wrote it on a bet (and the first half of the first book kind of reflects it)...it's easy to see he got into it then, and the rest of the book, and then the other books are much better.

It's set in its own fantasy realm, magic, swords, that kind of thing. Actually created a rich world in doing so. (could definitely see turning it into a roleplay setting, and Jim's a big fan of D&D, etc.).
