I keep getting notices from Yahoo telling me that I have to upgrade to their new e-maill and was going over the privacy policy.
It say's
"Yahoo!'s automated systems scan and analyze all email, IM and other communications content."
Also "This technology looks for patterns, keywords, and files in Mail, Messenger, and other communications content. In order to bring you the newest Yahoo! Mail, , Yahoo!’s automated systems will scan and analyze all incoming and outgoing email, IM, and other communications content sent and received from your account..."

Am I being paranoid? Maybe I just dont like the idea of it.
Anyway, I was wondering if there was another, more private, free e-mail.

I'm gonna up this question by asking if there's any more private IM/SMS service. I mostly use Yahoo for SMS and they are really unreliable anyways.

I don't even do anything illegal or too hide, but I still feel the need to watch what I say. Having to be conscious of my personal conversations, is absolutely ridiculous.

Would they still be able to do this if you use a different messenger like Nimbuzz or Pidgin? Both support a number of messengers??

There are several postings questioning the validity of Hushmail. At one point they provided email content to the DEA which if secured shouldn't happen.

i would recommend Mailvault over Hushmail.
