This part is not that important, but for you to understand

The Obama administration’s plans for Congress to smoothly extend the tenure of Robert S. Mueller III as director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation are derailing, raising an outside chance that he may have to step down temporarily early next month.

First, a group of lawmakers led by Senator Tom Coburn, Republican of Oklahoma, objected on constitutional grounds
enacting legislation that would create a one-time shortened term and make an exception to a 10-year limit on the amount of time any person may serve as director — has been delayed by Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, a libertarian-leaning Republican who was elected last year. He is invoking a Senate rule that allows any member to block a swift vote on a bill.

On Thursday, Mr. Paul sent a four-page letter to Mr. Mueller saying he wanted to meet next week and asking a series of questions about F.B.I. cases and policies.

The topics included the Patriot Act, abortion rights groups, domestic militias and a terrorism-related case in Kentucky involving two Iraqis admitted to the country as refugees.

This part is way MORE important

But more interestingly here is the letter Rand Paul sent to the FBI Director
www.documentcloud.org...

Everyone read that letter, it's pretty interesting regarding the Bowling Green Terrorists, 9/11 and Libertarian supporters being militia members.

That letter addresses many important issues!

I hope Rand Paul also brings up the FBI's involvement in Project GunRunner and the various Operations that have spun off of it.

If the meeting even takes place that is. This Administration is renowned for blowing off and stigmatizing those who do not toe the line.

I hate to say it, but I miss Bush.

It is a sad fact that I miss a lesser evil, than the one we currently have.

He's talking about people calling for the "violent overthrow of our government". You can call that free speech or whatever type of freedom you want to...but Paul's solution of throwing them in jail is nothing.

Let some of the good old boys from Kentucky get ahold of someone calling for those things and they'll beg to go to prison.

That proves my point. What exactly is wrong with people calling for a violent overthrow of our government? Nothing, in fact it seems like violently overthrowing our govt will be necessary pretty soon. Proving that Rand Paul hates freedom.

That proves nothing of the sort. You're reaching a little too far...even for some of the regular political ideologues at ATS.
