What I find so hard to accept is that anyone believes that raising taxes will create jobs.

Our problem in this country is not that we are taxed too little. The problem is that revenues have dropped while expenses have increased. Revenues have dropped because fewer people are paying income tax because fewer people have income!

We need to put people to work in the private sector. Private sector jobs create wealth. Public sector jobs siphon wealth.

It seems many people forget how public sector employees get paid. They get paid by taxing the non-public sector people. And as the old adage says, you can't get blood from a stone. (or in this case, income tax revenue from someone who has no income).

The easiest way to create private sector jobs, historically, has been to lower taxes.

More private sector workers mean more income tax revenues for the government.

The best thing to do now, in my opinion, is to lower spending until such a time as revenues increase.

Should the debt ceiling be raised? Yes.
Should the raising of the debt ceiling be tied to some fiscally responsible cuts in spending so that it will be possible not to "max out the credit card" again? Yes!

Notice I said possible... If we do not get our fiscal house in order, it will be IMPOSSIBLE not to have to continue to increase the debt ceiling, ad infinitum.

Anyway, just my $0.02

Good now the rest of the world knows WE are it. What happens here changes the world. France, Germany and their counter parts think that they call their own shots. They better hope we do what’s right and that is to save this country from the communistic policies Moa Obamma is trying to implement. I have to say though, that I'm a little bit disappointed that you would still be buying in to the brainwashing that both the dems and republicans have been doing to the public for so long, and can't or won't see that they are both using you to fuel this false war between them..

It is false, because they are both collaborating with each other to do these things behind our backs at every turn and are doing it to empower themselves while taking away all of our power as Americans to get them straightened out and operating with the integrity and honesty they should have...

For just one example of proof of this, just research a bit on all of these folks in congress and the senate and even appointed people and look at the small fortunes 75% of them have made by abusing their positions, and how their net worth was infinitely smaller before getting in office...

Both major parties have created a huge rolling snowball made from their tainted KOOLAID, and it keeps getting bigger and bigger, while our voice, freedoms, and willpower to keep them honest,keep getting smaller and smaller...

These people today, representing us, whether republican or democrat are both equally destructive to me and you, and all our families, and future families, not because of what they all say, but by what they are all doing, and the results of what they are doing to America....

The bottom line is that America is being delivered right into the jaws of hell, and all the people that are acting like there really is a right or a left to fight for, are effing making it happen!!

The rest of the World must manage its own affairs. The US dollar is being inflated daily. Long gone are the days where a single person could work and comfortably afford a home, support a family and own two cars.

The US government HAS to cut spending and stop the endless cycle of debt, borrowing, taxes and interest. These masochists are ADDICTED to spending, its like a disease, they cant stop.
