IT'S OFFICIAL: The Whole World Thinks Republicans Are Dangerous Maniacs Threatening Everyone

www.businessinsider.com

Yes, the rest of the world is watching this embarrassing debt ceiling nonsense, and it is growing dismayed.
Der Spiegel has a roundup of commentary in German newspapers about the fight, and the universal message is this:

The US is holding the entire world hostage, and it's the Republicans that are playing with fire.

Well there you have it... and some may say "The heck with the rest of the world... there's no global test"

But ahh yes.. there is when you live in a Global society... and you can infact deny the rest of the world exists only so long... just as Hitler... he denied that the rest of the world mattered at all... and eventually he was sunk...

It's the thing about life... there are always consequences to the actions... at this point if we truly cause the global economic destruction that is being hinted at...well, lets' just say that there will be a lot of angry people who blame the US or even republicans for that matter... and if there are enough angry people who blame the US.. then who knows what they may be driven to do... or not do as the case may be....

Can you imagine an war to liberate America from the Republicans?

when you think the worlds going to be destroyed.... why have any concern for your economy.

Those old people really wish they could just die and be in heaven with their loved ones. Seeing as how they cant commit suicide... their gonna have to destroy the world to bring people back to god.

I am serious as a heart attack...

Elections have consequences. Hmmmmmm that sounds familiar? Think it was Obama who said that in 2008.

Well then came 2010, people rejected Obama's reckless, out of control spending, and elected Republicans to the House of Representative in record numbers to deal with this former Community Organizer with zero leadership skills.

The people have spoken. They want less spending, and a government that only spends what it takes in.

Republicans should be more worried about what their constituents think, than what the world thinks.

unless of course, what the world thinks has an effect on the repubs constituents....

We do not live in a vacuum

Without a doubt the world has been living working and productive US citizens pockets to their mouths for decades and to stop the spending (the vehicle providing pockets to mouth) is a dangerous threat to that slothful living so many billions have come to enjoy generation after generation. Dangerous indeed.

The "whole world" does not pay our taxes.

The "whole world" does not vote in our elections - except, of course, some illegals.

The "whole world" hates it when they think the U.S. intrudes in their internal affairs.

The "whole world" can take a flying leap on this issue IMO ...

That's what Hitler said as well...

All things being equal, a global economic destruction, blamed on a political faction in America, could very well lead to an invasion... and... without the money to put birds in the air...

I'm just saying that at some point... yes it does matter how others feel...

the world has many time seen the result of ideology and it's consequences when void of common sense.

"no new taxes", code word for if you benefit from a warp tax code, get corporate welfare, we will protect you.

whatever the consequences, it's a frightening ideology, morphing into religious dogma.

government spending must be brought under control, but so must spending on special interest groups.

the fleecing of America will not revive the economy, we are in trouble.

Really and the problems with Greece aren't threatening anything? Or the whole Libya fiasco that is relying on US support when it really is none of our concern? Europe forgets that it relied on the US to protect it during the Cold war and what did the US get out of that? Not to mention that being told only half the story the "world" neglects the fact all of this could have been prevented if the Democrats would have done their jobs and passed a budget when they controlled the legislative branch!! But now it's all on the Republicans for the agenda driven budget lack.

That's what Hitler said as well...

You're actually equating me with Hitler based on what I said?

Come back and post when you intellectually have far, far more than insults such as this to post.

Did we get to tell Greece not to overspend on social programs?

Did we get to tell Italy not to overspend on social programs?

Did we get to tell Portugal not to overspend on social programs?

Did we get to tell Spain not to overspend on social programs?

Did we get to tell Ireland not to overspend on social programs?

Do we get to tell Mexico to stop exporting their social problems over their northern border?

Do we get to tell China anything?

Of course the answers are all "no!".

You seem to forget even though the dems had control they still needed repub votes to get it passed. Of course the party of NO lived up to it's name.

Thanks.

And IMO same goes for all those Americans that think we should ask the world what we should do about domestic issues.

An invasion of the US?

I cannot search the Japanese General's name for correct spelling, but his quote, in regards to why Japan did not attack the US mainland..."Behind every blade of grass, there would be a loaded gun."

The sovereign United States of America, by our Second Amendment, pretty much guarantees the same welcome to an invading force today.

As for the "opinion" of much of the "rest of the world" those who have benefited from the largesse of the US via generous foreign aid, really have no cause for opinion.

Where were all the Republican "fiscal conservatives" during Bush's eight years - and numerous debt ceiling increases? Oh yeah, I forgot - the point is to take from whatever and whoever you can, give to the wealthy corporations and individuals who finance your campaign and win more elections. Politicians have perfected the art of ignoring reality, giving the masses a few sound bites to win their votes and keep them from the truth. All political parties need to start serving the country's people and not the corporate and wealthy overlords who have, by design, plan or sheer dumb sheepishness on the part of the masses, taken over for entirely their own gain.

well, I proudly voted Tea Party and intend to again and will look forward to the stock markets, commodity exchanges, banks and governments collapsing world wide so we can reset everything to the way the constitution mandates.

Another in a long series of insults from so-called "progressives" where instead there could and should be intellectual posts.

Amazing that you cannot see that if insults are all you have, then you really have nothing.
