Moussa Ibrahim told journalists that rebel forces attacked the town of Brega backed by NATO forces in the sea and air in a coordinated attack that he said violated the alliance's U.N. mandate to protect civilians.(visit the link for the full news article)
"It was a full scale attack and it was heavy and merciless," he said. "We were successful in combating this attack and we did defeat both NATO and the rebels and we killed many rebel forces and captured a good number of them as well."

Yeah, right.![]()
Bet you felt real good when all those innocent passengers were murdered, huh?
Victor Ostrovsky, a Canadian former intelligence colonel with Israel's Mossad secret service and author of the bestseller By Way Of Deception (the title comes from the Mossad motto), will testify that it was Mossad commandos who set up the transmitter in Tripoli that generated a false signal about the "success" of the Berlin bomb - he has already given a detailed description of this daring operation in his second book, The Other Side Of Deception.

"NATO's mission is to prevent attacks and threats against civilians and that is what we are doing," an alliance statement said on Friday. "NATO has no military forces on the ground and no direct contact with opposition forces. "However, we do receive information from allied sources in Libya. We take this information into account to ensure that our actions are consistent with our U.N.-mandated mission to protect civilians.

The same thing happened in Iraq. The Americans protected the buildings that held the important oil documents, while letting the "insurgents" destroy all the production facilities. They did that because they were only concerned with the paperwork and maps of the oilfields. After everything was destroyed, they could just give the contracts to Haliburton and KBR to start rebuilding. This link has tons of information about the events preceding and following the Iraq invasion.

I just hope Gadaffi can come out on top with this one and put NATO back in its place. It always makes me feel good when the real good guys are winning. We don't see that very often these days. This story, along with the one about the Quartzite police refusing to obey unlawful orders, gives me hope that all is not yet lost to tyranny.
