I searched for this and did not see it posted. This she cop walked over to this person and just popped him.

One of the suspects hopped on a train and eluded police for about 15 minutes. Houston police officers spotted the man when he jumped off the train and took him into custody near Collingsworth. As the handcuffed suspect was being escorted back to a patrol car, another officer walked up and appeared to punch the suspect in the face. The officer who threw the punch has been identified as Officer Angela Horton. She's assigned to Central Patrol and has been with the Houston Police Department for five years. HPD Chief Charles McClelland says Officer Horton has been relieved of duty. Internal affairs is investigating the incident.

I'm not trying to defend the police, hell I hate them too, but we don't know what happened here. There's no sound, so we can't hear what words are being exchanged between the officers and the handcuffed man. Not that that is an excuse, just pointing it out.

Plus, who knows what happened before the film began? They show him being wrestled to the ground, but we don't know what went down before that. The man could've attacked the officer and just out of anger, she let herself go.

Regardless, I'm glad the police chief is investigating, it needs to be resolved.

I see your point about not knowing the full story. But once a suspect is in cuffs there is no excuse.

Exactly. Which is why I said I don't agree with what happened.

I'm just trying to justify to myself why an officer would punch a handcuffed man.

Typical moronic response....

Nothing like throwing down blanket accusations while ignoring the fact her fellow "pigs" as you refer to them have suspended her with pay pending a criminal and IA investigation.

This is happening way to much, making me feel pretty sick that officers are abusing their power, obviously it's not all of them but you are hearing more and more about it these days!

Err because she's a bullying turd not worthy of the uniform she disgraces, when I read these constant stories about the abusive pigs I always think "Glad I'm not their kid".

I'm not defending the action, however we have a gang of punk kids in our city that have decided that stabbing people is fun when you get in a fight, since they are underage they spend 2 months in juvie get out and start stabbing again (think red from futurama
) sometimes these punk kids just need a good punch in the face.

On a serious note, until we can change the world both sides of the argument are going to keep escalating the violence and innocent citizens are going to get caught in the crossfire.

they only suspended the pig because she was caught. i did not see the other pigs really giving a damn.

I think this pretty much says it. I'd like to get a look at the psychological criteria used for screening potential law-enforcement officers (not that I think all departments use the same criteria; I'm just thinking there must be some common traits). One might think it would be a little easier to weed out the sadists and bullies; but one might also think they don't try very hard....

Thats because people like oyu only see what you want. Apparently you missed the part in the video, as well as the voice over, where they pointed out the officer who had custody of the individual moved the other officer away.

Actually its not, but people like oyu see only what you want...

Im sure he probably did outrun her, since he is not hauling an extra 20 pounds of equipment. I didnt realize that going through the academy and becoming a police officer required a gold medal in cross country and endurance running?

The manner in which you go after the police leads me to the conclusion your one of those people who just dont understand why you cant do whatever you want.

typical...

Hehe I just was reading the update

After seeing the video Chief McClelland had little tolerance for Horton's hit on a handcuffed suspect. "Her duties are suspended. She will not be coming in to work. She will be at home. She will still be receiving pay," said Chief McClelland.

so the cops can wack someone handcuffed and get a paid vacation?
