Adds... Has ATS control what members see ?

Well I ask because the add on the front page is asking me for a sex date... lol

Since ATS is about civility and decorum, I thought it is a little odd.

ATS has targeted ads, as in whatever youve been googlin', ats ads will be related.

Most popular big sites like ATS have some kind of internal mechanism that tracks what you search for, so they can push relevant ads to you. They make more money that way, they don't really "care" who you are or what you are doing. It's just part of life on the net, I wouldn't worry about it.

I see the same ads appearing here as on You Tube. Mostly stuff about recording studio software that has nothing to do with any ATS topic, so I know they are "watching" me. No big deal.

If you are getting sex ads and it's not something you search for, maybe consider checking with a spouse or one of the kids?

haha, Ads you see on any given web page are based on cookies. In simple terms. Depending on what you search, you will pick up these cookies. And these cookies tell the ad companies what ad will be the best for you...so they put those ads up there.

Honestly... I do not even feel shame about it or emberassment for that matter.
Never expected it on ATS though.... It feels just wrong.

I am currently shopping for a car and auto insurance, so guess what ads I am seeing? LOL

You would think that in your case it would be a dream come true...the best of both worlds on one site...what more could you ask for?

Conspiracy and alternative news coupled with some adult like entertainment...actually...that does sound kind of good!

I skip the home page altogether. Because of that, I never see any ads.
