I must have argued this very point with ardent UFO enthusiasts a thousand times....Too many brave and honest men in the service have risked their carreers to state this simple truth.
I've got stacks of generals, including Soviet generals, who've come out and said UFOs are real. My point is, how many times do senior officials need to come forward and say this is real?"

Honestly. Noone really cares. The world is swiftly falling towards a global economic chaos. UFOs is the last thing in ordinary ppls mind.
therefore all discussion of the subject is just pure speculation.

This misses the issue. UFOs, by definition, are "real." Having some retired general come out and say, "UFOs are real." doesn't say much. To me "Disclosure" means the governments of the world telling us, the citizens, what the governments have found out. The suspicion is, of course, that they know quite a lot. THAT has not been disclosed at all. I don't want to hear that UFOs are real. I already know that. I want the specific details. That's what we mean by Disclosure.
Retired Army Col. John Alexander, 74-year-old former Green Beret A-Team commander and developer of weapons at Los Alamos, N.M., says UFO disclosure has already occurred, and that the ultimate solution to UFOs is more complex than most people think.

because, what people want is not some random general they have never heard of. but, a press conf of current leaders etc saying ok, here's the deal....

Well if Disclosure has already happened, then Disclosure has changed nothing. So what's the big deal? People still have to eat, still have to pay rent, still have to work.

You missed the whole point of this article (by AOL news) and that is many former DOD/Military folk have come forward and stated there are UFOs and by the looks of it they are not of this earth.
Need more?

Yeah I dunno about that. Life as we know may change completely. So you could say goodbye to rent and work. If aliens come down and reveal themselves and all is well, then I'm off to the stars! You kidding me?! Rent, who needs it!

I'm hoping this post is sarcasm. If not, what makes you think you will be "off to the stars!" You think ETs would provide transport off Earth for millions or billions of people? To infest their own civilizations? Not likely. So if you're going to remain on Earth, and you want a roof over your head and food in your belly, then you are going to have to work to buy food and pay rent.
