OP your not crazy at all. I view the coming collapse as an inevitability by now. I prefer it happen sooner rather than later. Why? Well, I'm relatively young and would prefer dealing with hard times while I have good health. If I have to grow my own food, or God forbid spill blood I prefer it happening soon rather than 10-20 years down the road when I may not be as capable of of doing those things as now. And to be honest I hope the Baby Boomers get to experience the hardships of the world they are leaving the rest of us.

We are all a little crazy!

Nobody wants a New World Order when in all reality we are One World.

The power struggle comes in deciding who will run it and ultimately that is what all the controversy is about!!

You're crazy and you're not crazy.
You're not crazy because your idea fits in the general pattern "Let's finish already, we can't stand this tension and uncertainties anymore!". It's humane and it's normal. When you're completely down, the only way you can go is up.

And yes, you're crazy like a hamster on coffee
because if the U.S. of A. will collapse, the rest of the world will follow shortly. Don't full yourself: USA is essential for the world's well being so you people have a great responsibility there.

If it will come to collapse, try to be... well, gentle...?
Just kidding.

If a collapse is imminent, what does buying more time get us if the collapse doesn’t happen? How do we plan for the future with this hanging over our heads? With this threat hanging over our heads, doesn’t it cause more frustration and stress? Is it just more time to listen to government’s lies while they continue to use/rob our money?

Does it give people more time to prepare? And would they prepare? Would they continue “as is” thinking the government will fix it each and every time this comes up?

As you can read, I am getting quite frustrated with the whole scenario. Not sure I want to have this crap hanging over my head for the next ~5 years.

Don't know if it's officially crazy... but there is a subset of people (here and people you meet every day), who enjoy the excitement and non-mundane nature of disasters. They hope for them. They are the ones who get excited at tornadoes, and hope that 40" of snow hits their city. They would be thrilled of a small meteor took out a small town, I think. And they don't even necessarily want suffering or death (some might)... they just want something.. different to happen. Rather than the humdrum daily existence.

Reason imo? Evolution and human development. As as species, our bodies and psyche were created specifically to handle obstacles. To overcome disasters, disease, and tragedy. And within a very short span of time, our dangerous world.. not all of it mind.. but a great deal of it.. has become very "safe." And I think physiologically, we haven't adapted to the new world.

People IN disasters... people in third world countries where it's NOT safe.. I don't think they are wishing for a disaster. But those people who do not have any dangers other than not crossing the street against the crosswalk are missing something. Why do you think so many people get excited at extreme sports? As they say.. basically, it's in our blood (i.e. DNA).

So, I am not surprised you feel this way. I DO feel that humans need to learn to adapt (or eventually, it will occur naturally imo), but honestly, that could take many more decades. You can't erase the millenia of development in a short span of years.

You're not crazy...and neither am I for wanting an end to the current situations. Personally, I want it all to not so much end, but want it to "come to a head". I see that "we" (meaning the country) are throwing money and effort at these problems, trying to apply a temporary fix to a failed system of errors. While we do this, the money we could be using to cushion the fall, is being wasted on these band-aid fixes, and leaving a very hard surface for us to hit when it happens. If instead, we would use our assets to phase in the inevitable in a more comfortable way, over a longer period, I think we would be better off. But it is the typical "King" syndrome where the leaders would rather waste everything, trying to prevent the fall from happening "on their watch". Their decisions to throw money at problems, instead of prepare for what is bound to happen is the scary...and possibly disastrous part.

I have no problem learning to live within our means, and with less. But having to do so overnight is terrifying.

I hear ya. And I tend to agree.

The public knows the Right is to blame for this disaster. This is the culmination of 25 years of Conservative economics. The most important thing for America to survive is the utter, and complete, eradication of Conservatism. And it is happening.

A forced default by the GOP would ensure their destruction. And I'm prepared to go through Hell to ensure it.

My .02 ,

In general:
Those who want the collapse (or to just get it over with so to speak) are most likely unemployed or underemployed, have been badly burned by the system in some way, emotionally drained, tried everything to get out of a rut, tired of hearing the same drivel for years on MSM while looking for someone to provide "hope and change".
Or they just love pain to the Nth degree.

Those who don't want the collapse are doing well, most likely due to public sector jobs oriented around the wars/occupations (or banking-bailout related schemes), have plenty of psych meds and shrinks due to their good health care plans, have permanent smiles planted on their faces, plenty of Viagra, and attend every soccer/band pratice of their 2.7 kids in their huge gas guzzling Hummers/SUVs.
Or they just can't tolerate or imagine the pain that will come with collapse of the "comfy zone".

Agreed. That is the kind of situation that big wars, even world wars develop in. Most likely TPTB will get the big war going before people realize the collapse is on.

The US Congress is in heavy debates about debt ceiling etc; a possible distraction with foreign events escalating?

With wars they deflect the blame away from the bankers/polticians, and toward our fellow humans. Divide and conquer, while realizing their desired population control.

This doesn't come from boredom, this comes from being informed about the utter corruption of our world and where we are heading. You really should look around the world and see how much suffering goes on to the benefit of the wealthy elite.

This sheltered world you seem to cherish is an illusion. I want everyone to wake up out of that illusion. The collapse will make that happen.

Can you detail what a collapse means to you? Do you work - if so let's say you lose your job and a wage, ultimately your home. Are you at school/college? Ok, let's say teacher loses their job so no school or college to attend. No student funding and mommy and daddy may not have jobs to pay for you to not work. That sounds GREAT doesn't it? Life isn't a motion picture, I think your energy would be better spent making sure a collapse doesn't happen..... are you big enough to do that?

Almost every generation thinks their generation will witness momentous changes or the "end of the world". For example in 999 AD, many Europeans though the second coming was upon them in 1000 AD and they sold everything, gave up their possessions and waited. I don't think this generation will witness the end, it's kind of self-centered to think so IMO.

Is the US still the number one Superpower? Maybe, but China is closing fast if not already ahead.

note: by Superpower I mean economically, technologically, socially and militarily, not just how many nukes we have

Do not worry. Something will occur that will take the breath of man away. There will be a choice to be made by every living soul on this planet. When this happen, i hope you'll take the right pill...

You are not crazy... i wish the same thing. I believe everybody does want this to happen. They are tired of living in this cruel non-sense world. If this , which will, occur, a new born world and a new conciousness will appear. People are waiting for that and only that.. for that big change.

So no you are not crazy. you are just waiting for an absolution that will change the world mentality. Yes people will die, yes big events will occur, but don't be scared. Do not fear the new born world. Live in that world happily and in harmony will everyone and the planet.

Soon... the 5th day (Mayan Tzolkin) calendar, a calendar to evaluate the world conciousness, a big revelation will come to humans. This will take their breath away as they will understand the whole concept, the truth about everything. It is at that moment that you won't need to think to do the right choice, you will already know what choices to make without thinking it. At that moment, either you will die, or you'll be amongst the rest of man the next day. It is up to you.

Remember, no fear of the upcoming events. love everything that surrounds you, even though it would piss you off normaly... dont hate... nobody is perfect, they are just following the path that were given to them.

Like i tell my friend, be strong, no fear and love and when the moment comes, make your choice for you and not for others. Believe in the light, you will save yourself.

Thank you

Anyone with any brains sees the massive changes that will have to be made, arriving in the very near future.

We live in a consumer driven, disposable society made possible only by complete and total consumption of all of the accessable sweet light crude petroleum on our planet.

Large numbers of our population have been brain washed by right wing talk show nut cases.

The people who drive our economy have decided to plunge ahead at full speed towards the looming disaster like the megalomaniacs they are, in complete denial of the disaster that lays ahead if we stay on this course.

I don't want the collapse to happen, but watching this slow motion train wreck is brutal.

You know, "Crazy" is such a strong word. You shouldn't be so hard on yourself. Maybe you are just smoking crack.

But seriously. Of course you don't want a full scale economical collapse. There would surely be quite a bit of death and some extremely entertained billionares to follow. No, what you really want is progress.

The collapse by definition prevents a new world order under their leadership... because they'll be lynched. I'm all for a one world government as long as its not under their control.

Best part is, a new world order not under their control, by definition, locks them out of ever getting power back until said government collapses as well.
