Can you really put those two in the same sentence?

Marco Rubio....... Outstanding, and my local Tea Party was instrumental in his election!

Michelle Bachman...... How the hell did she happen? We had nothing to do with that.

They BOTH stand against the out of control democrats.
Now is a bad time to start dividing the - good guys - in Washington D.C.
Look for the big picture.
----------------
They are both.
They BOTH want to reduce the size of the U.S. Government.

See?

The President is still Obama. How well did the stimulus work out and what happened to all the money? Were are the shovel ready jobs? Oh, yeah, he laughed that one off. Arrogant fool. How is the summer of recovery going?
When is Obama going to finally pass a budget? He couldn't even handle that with a Majority in both houses.

Let's see.

Obama wants to fix economy.

Republicans don't.

It's a bit hard to run things when you have Congress full of morons.

Obama had 2 full years with the Congress eating out of the palm of his hands. He pushed through his Enormous healthcare package, he pushed through Trillions in "stimulus" money. He pushed through enormous "bailouts" all of which were opposed by the majority of the population, but supported by the Congress, and none of it did any good. Now, here we are blaming the Republicans again. Fine. They deserve some of the blame, they should give up on the tax loopholes, and they should let swallow some hard pills, but let's not pretend Obama never had a chance.

We can't spend our way out of this hole. We can't cut our way out of this hole. We can't stimulate our way out of this hole.

We absolutely must stand fast on the debt ceiling, no raise! We absolutely must let the upper 50% pay their fair share of taxes. We absolutely must make very deep cuts in spending.

That is how you begin to fix things.

Then, if you want to stimulate anything, you do it with public works like Obama campaigned on. You bring soldiers home and stop spending overseas. You secure the borders and start putting Americans to work. You get behind the podium, and you tell the ugly truth about how bad things have gotten, and you prepare the population for some tough times ahead while we right this ship! That is what a leader would do, but we only have one of those in the public eye. See my siggy.

In that regard, I can agree. She just needs a better handler, LOL! She needs to leave her religion out of it, and just stand on the core principles of the Tea Party. Most Tea Partiers couldn't care less about gay marriage or gays in the military. Those are just distractions, and they keep getting her caught up.

Your above solutions sound great but i think Obama has his own Plan B.
- Issue an executive presidential order to raise the debt limit $2.4 Trillion. -

Long live the sacred cows.

Yes. I see Michele Bachmann as a great VP candidate. Not quite ready for the White House BUT
she is still one of us. The ones who believe in a - smaller - U.S. government.

I think Michele Bachmann needs to hire Dana Perino as a handler.
Dana Perino has been very impressive on The Five at 5:00 PM on Fox News.
The other 4 commentators are also good.

But it is a fact that the top wage earners pay 96.03% of income taxes.

I'm guessing you got that from this source.

The people who make the most money in this country are contributing the most because they make so much more than everyone else! It's really simple:

If I make $100 taxed at 18%, that's $18. If you make $50 taxed at 35%, that's $17.50.

Is that fair? I'm paying slightly more but you're paying a much larger percentage.

So which nation on Earth has a - fair - tax system?
If you can point it out , then we could just copy them.
Which one?

I think it's as fair as you can get without bordering socialism. Oh, and your link was a riot by the way; you must listen to this guy i644.photobucket.com...

What's wrong with socialism? This country could use a little more of it...in fact, we could use a LOT more of it.

reply to post by Eurisko2012

Why do we have to copy anyone? We can't practice a new system of taxation? We can't attempt to improve on things unless others do it first...where's your American spirit?

No friend, what we need is a competent leader that represents what we've been about since day one. We've never been a socialistic nation, and as long me and the others that share the vision of the country God intended have the right to vote, it won't be.

What have we represented since day one? Slavery? Child labor? Poverty? We were also very much into the idea of debt too. Freedom of speech? Right to bear arms? We didn't represent that 'from day one' either.

You have a rose colored vision of what life was like then. We must never, ever turn back and always move forward. Strive for greatness today and tomorrow and remember the past for what it was.

This is very large planet with many nations.
Surely, there must be at least - one - with a fair tax system .
Name one that comes close.
