Here is a link to the video:

For those who can't watch videos it's basically just a follow up to this thread:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

In Colbert's sarcastic and satirical way.

Michele Bachmann recently signed a marriage pledge presented to her by an Iowa-based social conservative group, which included language that raised a lot of eyebrows for likening of homosexuality to bestiality and condemnation of pornography. Oh, and it also suggested that African-American children raised as slaves lived a better life than those living under the Obama administration. While the controversial language has since been changed, Stephen Colbert pointed out last night that Bachmann seems quite comfortable citing slavery with her signature rhetorical flourish, making oft comparisons to taxation and homosexuality.

HA! I love Stephen Colbert, may his PACT reach bilzillians!

Ah Michelle, so much fruit and nuts and too little cake. Half backed cookies in the oven and batteries backwards upstairs.

I highly recomend the "Candidate Collar!" LOL

I understand why they put that in the pledg's preamble, but my goodness whoever thought to put it in was the biggest moron in recent memory. For anyone to sign it is just as irresponsible.

I think what the pledge was trying to say is that, homosexual marriage is so awful that even slaves, or rather children of slaves, had a better home life. Apparently it's a great American family activity to pick crops 14 hours a day and not get paid, possibly beaten too. It was basically using the most ridiculous hyperbole to bash gay marriage. Funny thing is though...........slaves weren't allowed to get married.

That's Mrs. Bachmann's second monumental mistake concerning slavery in this country. I'm wondering if there's any money in SS that can go toward giving Mrs/ Bachmann and Sarah Palin a history lesson. Seems the more they discuss American History, the more American history changes
.
I am going to watch Colbert's show from now on. That was funny as Hell.

PM the mods about it. No offense but this post doesn't belong in my thread. Though I do agree, your post wasn't rude.

Anyways please try to keep the discussion on topic here. Thanks guys.

It is fine with me. Not trying to derail your thread any more than the second post in this thread that did nothing but call Colbert fans stupid in poor grammar. I have not seen the episode yet and was kind of hoping to read more about it and perhaps a discussion of what he or she said.

I think it is important for Colbert fans, and everyone else, to know that he didn't start a PACT, he started a PAC. (Political Action Committee).

How is this off-topic?
