"Good Evening everyone. This is Xayden reporting live from naples. wait...one moment... yes.... uh..huh...

This just in! Bush has declared Charley is a Weapon of mass destruction, and since there is no one claiming the hurricane Bush has targeted Cuba."

Fade to Bush," Yes,ma fellow americans. Castro is a dicktatter, so he must have caused this new threat on freedom. So we will now invade Cuba. Thank you."

" Now back to you Dragonfly."

I've have been offline since around 1pm because heavy thunderstorms and lightning which knocked the power out for about 15 minutes total but not without several little power surges before that, and then comcast had a "problem" in my area....

anyways i'm in the south east area of florida and we shouldn't be affected too bad, except by rain, we have flood watch in effect and are "monitor" mode for Charlie.

Just a little weather update from here in T-town - thunderstorms have picked up within the last hour - rain comes and goes but lightning pretty steady - it'll probablly be like this for the rest of tonight and maybe get a lill worse tomorrow....Judging from the image bellow, I'm guessing maybe this is either the front of charley or the ass-end of bonnie, or both....

We are now getting the first weather from Charlie in Cocoa Beach, just a rain bad with some heavy rain and gust winds about 25mph maybe a little more. This squall shouldnt last long and we are probaly going to be spraed for the most part, but still neat that we are already experiencing some heavy weather from it. It is going to be one hell of a Friday the 13th for the west side of Florida.bh

Check this...

www.climatepatrol.com...

I grabbed the a NEXRAD image from the Key West station shortly after the storm crossed Cuba. There is also a link to a nice radar animation showing the storm crossing Cuba. The storm held together very well and the eye seems perfect.
