Just saw that Bonnie made landfall near APALACHICOLA FLORIDA.

Charlie just missed Grand Cayman Island and is developing a nice eye.

Last satellite looks like we might get some rain bands from bonnie, and we just got under a tornado watch till 9pm. Also the hurricane hunter plane reports the barometric pressure is dropping and the sustained winds are at 105.

Charlie rapidly intensifying.

now a CAT 2...105 MPH sustained. Barometric pressure dropped 4 millibars in the past 3 hours...could become a CAT 3 before it brushes Cuba.

I'm leaving work to go buy some plywood.

The west coast of Florida should be making final preparations for Charlie and evacuating if they are near the gulf or bay area. The entire Tampa Bay area should be evacuating, I posted this earlier that the bay is extremly vulnerable to storm surge, rapidly rising water with the storm, and with a storm like Charlie you can expect the sea level to rise 10ft +++, that means areas far away from the Bay can still be submerged. Someone said someting about Volusia county being evacuated, NO WAY!!!, no one on the east coast needs to evacuate and the last thing we need is more people on the roads that dont need to be there. Again those on the West side of Florida need to be ready and I recomend evacuation for anyone within 30 minutes of the gulf/bay.

I was living at CENTCOM when Homstead AFB got leveled. I spoke with a survivore of that storm. His family did not have a good time. If there is a big storm surge it will sink MacDill for sure. Our house was hit by a funnel clowd and I have seen water spouts in the bay. Tampa is the lightning capital of the world. On average it has 144 thousand strikes a year. That is why the hockey champs have their name. We have had some strange weather events in the world and the U.S. Two weeks after 911 a tornado went right over the Pentagon and ended up killing two college girls when thier car got lifted up and slammed against a building... Let me get this right, you can avoid a probible desaster and you chose not too? Cool, surfs up. It is not fun trying to surf in strong wind.

It's only 6mph away from being a cat 3, so I'd bet that the 5pm advisory might just make it that...

As you can see, it's pretty well-developed. My wife is at the store right now picking up some last minute things...and I'll gas up the Van on the way home. We have big metal awnings that lower over the windows, so we'll be shutting those tonight. Not automatic or anything, so I have to get out the ladder, hehe...that'll be fun.

May end up having some friends as house guests too (in evac level B), and we're in a non-evac zone (not to mention, about 100 yards away from a shelter, hehe...)

Well... I live on the east coast of Florida, in Miami. Kendall to be exact. We're not really taking precautions because the only thing that's forecast for our area is rain. I too, shall take pictures. I'll get on my roof and take good pictures. Got the highest roof in my whole neighborhood.

ENRON and Weather Control

For the most part these are old articles...i got the lead from an article i pulled off clifford carnicoms site, its after these links, then I went searching: somebody posted the initial article without a link, a while ago, around 01/03, it bears reading all the way. It obviously is from the time before the big E went kaput. I wonder if it had anything to do with the big E going kaput....if the CT technology was co-opted for surveillance, and other nefarious uses like mass mind alteration, because of, let us say, something like TERROR, then it is not beyond the realm of possibility that enron got shut down to hide all this....there were many small-fry weather control companys like Dyn-O-Mat feeding off this lopsided insurance, guaranteeing enron or whoever certain weather factors for a price...even being small fry the ops were big bux and a lot of the early stuff went down in Clintons time....I think the initial spraying experiments by these weather companys was a success, meaning nobody squawked, and then way was made to deploy the control technology which govt has been developing now for 5 decades or more....b

“"Dyn-O-Mat Taking on Mother Nature". Some of the ABC news article excerpts are recorded below:

"The Dyn-o-Mat powder consists of a polymer ..." "It's made in cornflake-shaped flakes so it floats and lingers longer in the air to combine with a cloud's moisture."

“Sometime in early October, nine massive jets will take to the skies over southern Florida. Each will carry 16,000-330,000 pounds of an unusual arsenal: cloud-busting powder.”

“Peter Cordani, chief executive of the Riviera Beach, Fla.-based company, Dyn-o-Mat, says that once sprayed into a wet, hovering cloud, the special powder should combine with the moisture and transform into a heavy gel. The gel will then fall harmlessly to the surface and effectively shake out moisture from the cloud."
"We know it can dissipate a cloud," says Peter Ray, a meteorologist at Florida State University who is helping test the product."
''Others have suggested that massive mirrors in space might be used to redirect sunlight and alter weather patterns by heating cool pockets." (My note: heavy concentrations of polymers released into a large enough region of the troposphere would be highly effective at redirecting sunlight - solar energy. Concentrations of contrails would produce similar effects. Reference the USAF article 'Weather as a force multiplier - Owning the weather in 2025' Chapter 4 for some of the mechanics involved with atmospheric heating and cooling - weather control. Also, reference the American Meteorological Society February 2002 news release, listed in this post)

"Such proposals may seem farfetched, but Ross Hoffman concluded in a recent bulletin of the American Meteorological Society that the dream of controlling the weather "is in fact a possibility." (Note: Ross Hoffman is a leading research meteorologist at AER Inc. It is my understanding that Hoffman believes that global weather control can be accomplished by forcing weather changes in the right areas of the world at the right times. Related information is provided below.)

The hype over weather derivatives is being replaced by real deals, and everybody’s scrambling for position.

The viewership of the Weather Channel has always skewed decidedly toward the nerdy. But if the lightning-fast development of the weather derivatives market is any indication, before long the ratings-challenged cable channel could reach a whole new audience financial players around the world who have suddenly become obsessed with occluded fronts, La Niña and other weather arcana that for years had been the exclusive province of people with backyard barometers.

While derivatives historians may quibble over the precise date of the first weather contract some say July 1997, while others say August of that year everyone in the weather business agrees that the market hit the ground running.

There has been an explosion of deals in the marketplace and a tremendous amount of interest on the client side, says Richard Turrin of Paribas’ strategic derivatives group. The industry has seen the birth of a new market in the last year to 18 months, and in the last six months the growth has been exponential.

Houston-based energy giant Enron estimates that between 900 and 1,000 transactions have taken place to date, with the notional value of those deals exceeding $1.5 billion. Kansas City, Mo.-based Aquila, the unregulated marketing and trading arm of Utilicorp, puts that figure closer to 1,200.

While energy firms are still the most active in the weather business, other industries are getting into the game as well. Enron has already acted as counterparty in deals with manufacturers of snowmobiles and snowblowers, the film industry and the fertilizer industry, and has fielded inquiries from theme parks, golf courses, sports-drink makers, car washes and ski resorts. Aquila boasts transactions with salt producers, ski resorts and other entertainment companies. In addition to the relatively commonplace degree-day deals, says Enron’s Lynda Clemmons, a director at the firm, she has been approached by companies interested in rainfall, snowfall and even barometric pressure contracts.

******* Weather derivatives allow companies to control the effects of the weather on demand for their products. Here are some of the most popular structures.*******

Temperature Contracts
A degree day is the deviation of a day’s average temperature from 65 degrees Fahrenheit. In the summertime, the demand for energy increases with every degree above 65; in the winter, the demand for heat increases for every degree day below 65. There are a number of degree-day products available to energy producers. In most, payment is made for every degree day above or below the strike, with a maximum payout that can range from $500,000 to $5 million or more

...Sufficient energy is employed to cause ionization of neutral particles (molecules of oxygen, nitrogen, and the like, PARTICULATES, etc.) which then become part of the (plasma) region, thereby increasing the charged particle density of the region. This effect can also be enhanced by providing artificial particles, eg electrons, ions, etc, directly into the region to be affected from a rocket, satellite, or the like, to supplement the particles in the naturally occurring plasma. The artificial particles are also ionized by the transmitted electromagnetic radiation thereby increasing charged particle density of the resulting plasma of the region...
In another embodiment of the invention, electron cyclotron resonance heating is carried out in the selected region or regions at sufficient power levels to allow a plasma present to generate a MIRROR FORCE which forces the charged electrons of the altered plasma UPWARD along the force line to an altitude which is higher than the original altitude... Sufficient power, eg 10 to the 15th joules, can be applied so that altered plasma can be trapped on the field line between mirror points and will oscillate in space for prolonged periods of time. By this embodiment, a plume of altered plasma can be established at selected locations for communications modifications or other purposes...

Title: Radio Communication Utilizing the Base of a Striated Barium Plasma.

Abstract: In conjunction with the DNA barium releases, Avefria I and II, an experiment was undertaken to determine if radio communication was possible off the base of a striated plasma created by these barium releases. A transmitting station was set up to broadcast a steady signal at two HF frequencies toward the base of the barium striations and two receiving stations listened for signal returns on the two frequencies. (The chosen geometry prevented reflections off the sides of the barium cloud from affecting the experiment). One station heard substantial returns while the other heard nothing. Data from the first station provide an estimate of the reflection cross sections for the base of the striated barium cloud. The negative result from the second station arises partly from limited sensitivity of equipment but the upper limit on cross section was less than that seen from the first station. This suggests a directional character for the signal reflected from the base of the cloud.

All you Floridian's be carefull and don't take any
unnessary risks okay?
And I thought our dustdevils were bad! We get some pretty
wicked microbursts sometimes. A few years back we got substained
winds of 90 mph! It just took out part of my fence and a piece of
my roof is all. Sometime we get those weird clouds which occur when
a hurricane comes up our way from Baja California. What we really
have to be concerned about is El Nino here. In the early 90's it
caused severe flooding. It didn't do much damage than because the
population was only about 8,000 people. Now there's over 35,000 people
here (down in the valley) and most of them built in the flood zones.

Hello everyone, I live in central florida and the mall my mom works at is now closing down at 12pm along with other business around the area. There's only a light rain right now no wind at all.
