I keep wondering how Starz will handle his sexuality. They might think that it wouldn't go over well in America, but on the other hand it is a premium channel series so i am surprised they have gone two episodes already without a sex scene.

Torchwood and Dr Who with David Tennant is a MUST!
Seriously spent the other Christmas day and New year (You know the ones if you've seen em folks) all choked up and gutted. Oh and that one with Rose on the beach....I musta blubbed like a girl for an hour! Meh and what happened with Donna and her grandad.

Actually I'm feeling all weepy thinking about it.

oooh does that include welsh accents my love?

Absolutely. In fact, my ancestry can be traced to Wales, albeit quite some time ago, as my family came to the States back in 1808. I like the whole range of accents though, whether classy or Cockney.

Suspiria, dont start me off now girl, what about the bit where Donna having forgotten who The doc is, wakes up at home in her bed and practically blanks him. I love the storyline its so cleverly written, she was at one moment the most important person in the universe, and then, nothing......
Imagine a whole massively important part of your life just forgotten.
Anyway just to remind everyone, part two of Torchwood is on at 9 tonight with dynamo magician impossible on Watch at 9, time for sky plus.

Well they certainly didn't disappoint in episode 3 lol. I won't spoil it but suffice it to say the sexuality question is more than answered

yeah.. lol. These premium channel series must be under contract to have a sex scene at least once every three episodes lol.

Works good for Game of Thrones and True Blood.
(and probably some other shows, that I haven't seen yet)...

True Blood though, has considerably lessened their sex and nudity (sadly)...
Of course, sometimes less is more...like seeing the lovely Jessica in skimpy lingerie...much better than full nudity...

Ok this explains last night episode.

I didn't know he was gay. I hadn't seen the original 3 seasons and had no idea of his background.

I don't care what is sexuality is I like the show so far!

Do yourself a HUGE favour and go watch the previous 3 seasons. Although I am sure they will do their best to cater for newbie-viewers, you will understand it so much more if you watch the previous seasons. That and they kick ass lol!!

He isnt gay !!!! I met him in real life (im a name dropper when it comes to torchwood and doc who), however in real life he is gay and is married to a nice guy called scott). His character jack is omnisexual, which is sort of to do anything to anything species wise, obviously over the age of consent, which could be a hard thing to tell if your an nine armed purple octo-unicorn from the planet zonk.

It has to be said, again, that Jack isn't gay. He'll have sex with anything he fancies! On the face of it, most males should hate Jack. I tried, but I failed. He should be hated (far too good looking the git!), but theres something about Jack that everyone loves. He's a brilliant character, played brilliantly, by Mr Barrowman.

Then theres the hope that the Doctor will turn up again at some point. The questions............?
Is Jack the Face Of Boe?
Will the Doctor do something about that?
Why doesn't the Doctor turn up to save everyone in Miracle Day?
Is it because Jack is becoming his equal over millions of years?
Is he really a fixed point in time?
God pls, Jack, have sex with Rose, then leave her somewhere unpleasant, never to return!
Fish fingers n custard
Fezzes are cool........discuss
and on............and on............and on............and on............and on............

So the show's using the FEMA death camps in the plot and the villains would appear to the Illuminati (Masonic triangle logo).

I guess it would takes a gay Brit writer i guess to finally bring the elephant in the room into mainstream entertainment. Good for RTD.

Just wish the show's writing was up to the standard of its ambition: Far too many moments like the dopey CIA girl visiting her sister and not noticing the only other car in the area is a sinister black one parked almost right outside her sister's house, just in front of her own. CIA girl pulls away in car, oblivious to the sinister black one pulling away right behind her.

Making the characters idiots really means they think the viewers are idiots. What a shame.

I know that Jack likes guys, girls and any type of aliens but saying "he'll do anything" just sounds so wrong! It maakes me think that some days he's into guys, the next day he's into beastiality, then necrophilia.. etc lol

It doesn't work for me!! I can't get engaged in a plot and they push a sex scene on me, my mind can't handle both LOL. I just don't think that sex does anything for a story if you're not making a porno! I hear that sex sells but I don't understand why it sells in TV or movies anymore. If you're over 18 then you can just cut to the chase and find it anywhere you want to online!

yeah guys you really need to watch the previous series, you need to understand why Jack cant die.

oh god its just finished wont give any clues away, pretty effing gross actually, and something that happened 60 years ago. In a sense its important that people are reminded about what happened. Not gonna say just watch the episode.

Just to show you Torchwood newbies the style of the older seasons, here a small clip of Captain Jack in his typical behaviour and the dialogue is of course written with a lot of humour. No offend taken , I hope!

Lucky you, thedoctorswife, who lives in Wales! I love Wales! I was in southwest England during the summer but didn´t get time to go to Cardiff which I really would have wanted to! But I got quite close to Newport! Got to get back soon...!

I'd love to hear any of y'alls thoughts on the "Miracle Day" series. I just watched it last night, and it's quite interesting with the collapse of society, the hidden 3 families who cover politics, media, and finance. Then, we have the issue of blood and mutation and class warfare with category 1 being burned alive. Lot's of parallels to conspiracy theories of FEMA camps (Overflow camps).

So, not to spoil it for anyone, you can watch the whole series as an Amazon Prime member and pay for this last season for about $16.00 and not wait for it to play out on starz.
