If this is true it just goes to prove that while climate change is happening, we are not the cause of it (although I do believe we may have given it a small nudge).

Dude, the science studies on climate change account for naturally occurring climate change, and then find a large portion additionally of data that can only be attributed to humans. So instead of a small nudge there is a substantial nudge or acceleration by humans.
