How To get ATS CHAT Working in FireFox!!!!

yes you heard that right, this problem has been the bane of my ats problems but i have a solution!!!!!!

Go to here and download this addon for fire fox.

once downloaded and browser restarted open the tools menu and select IE TABS 2 OPTIONS (see image)

Now in that section select it will bring you to a window called sites filter.... add the chat addy into the URL section (see image) and click add

and thats it all done

Ron!!! Now can u figure out how to donchat on a 3GS iPhone? Lol

I hated the FF issue because it was the only browser that didn't give me issues except for chat. When I have a computer again I'll have to do this.

I miss chat! Lol

I've seen that a lot of people have had this problem. I use foxfire and for some reason, I have been lucky and don't really have problems. I have had to try opening twice to get it open before, but that's it.

Well since I have no computer I can't activate my iTunes so I can't download apps lol I have to go to an Apple store and that is an hour or so away. lol I'm supposed to be out that way Sunday so I'll have them activate my iTunes so I can get aps! lol

I got into chat once on my iPhone but it was jailbroken and I was online not thru safari. I don't remember the app I used and that phone is restored to new lol

WHEN U GET ACTIVATED HUNT AROUND A BIT in the apps. might be something there only thing is that the iphone doesn't support Java but supports the java browser thingy ma bob

try the compatibility mode , IE TAB2 OPTIONS - GO TO LAST TAB IE COMPATIBILITY MODE AND SELECT URS MINES IS SITTING ONT HE 1ST ONE AND WORKS FINE.

REMEMBER IF U CHANGE THIS U WILL HAVE TO RESTART FF, good luck

ALSO EDITED TO ADD, THE 1ST TIME OF INSTALLING THIS I HAD OT OPEN CHAT CLOSE IT AND OPEN IT AGAIN, NOW IT WORKS FINE 1ST TIME EVERYTIME

Im running w7 with FF 5.0 , i did the steps as mentioned above, cleared the cache , restarted FF then logged into ats, went to chat, clicked and waited for about 10 seconds then i did right click reload on the chat window and its been working ever since.

however while rereading i figured out another possible reason it doesn't work for some people

when i tried that it worked without ie tab!

if you activate at the store u won't have an itunes library and are gonna lose stuff when connecting to itunes
which you will need to for music, podcasts and such. so borrow somebody's computer. set to manually manage music and drag a couple of songs and videos onto the phone, if you don't like itunes use CopyTrans Manager


oh and Skyfire web browser works best for ATS IMO think its 4.99 will play videos by converting them and streaming to phone.

I have Windows 7 and FF 5.0, too and I had a bit of a time getting it to work, but finally did with yours and ronishia's instructions!

Clear your browser cache and restart your browser

As pointed out by Benevolent Heretic there still seems to be an issue regarding this thread, If i also reply and hit the button then this is what loads

But if i go through the myats button it does seem to work properly.

is it not easier to just switch over to IE when you want to use chat?

yes we can...


but the method and addon described has worked for me, before i was required to use i.E. and since i am not a big fan of I.E. i avoided it altogether.
