Family Says Madison Deputies Interrupted Party, Used Tasers

www.msnbc.msn.com

They said Madison County sheriff's deputies arrested and used a Taser on several people while looking for an assailant at the wrong house.

"The deputies asked them to step back, but the crowd kept growing and getting louder. The deputies tried to disperse the crowd and gave orders which were not followed," Trowbridge said. "A confrontation developed and one of the deputies went to arrest one of the men. That's when another man put his hands on the deputy as he was arresting another man. This seemed to incite the crowd and they came forward. The deputies fired Tasers at three of them a

The article is another good insight into the American Police State.

Apparently somebody called the police about an assault, and the police swarmed a BBQ party at the wrong address. The police confronted the crowd and started to taser people. This incited the crowd to step up to them.

It resulted in over seven people going to jail. All because these pigs got the wrong address. Rediculous.

Nothing surprising here, move along now sheep. No really, these goons are steadily plodding along to the point where cops are going to be shot on sight. Its rather sad really, that so many of these clowns with badges think they are invincible. Out numbered 900 to 1, out gunned by 90 firearms to 1. Its the last thing I want to see, but they are bringing this upon themselves.

"From what I've read of the reports, the deputies were justified in their use of force to make the arrests and restore calm to the situation," Trowbridge said. "I'm still looking into it, but thank goodness I had an extra crew assigned to duty that night. This was a large crowd that grew unruly and action had to be taken to get control of the scene there."

Well, it seems cops are starting to completely lose it. These cops got lucky they didn't get mobbed despite the tasers.. One day one of these incidents are gonna end badly, but I hope we can stop this Police State once and for all..

And of course them being misinformed is justifed..

Trowbridge said the person who originally called to report an assault had left the scene and was later located at a house a few blocks away. He told deputies that he had been struck in the head by a man with a pistol at a block party on Daughtry Street.

Apparently according to the article, the guy was at the party and got assaulted there but then left. I cant see where it states they got the wrong address.

Im in no way taking up for the Police State, just stating what the article says. The Police State in America has been and is totally out of control and is getting worse. Someday the people might get enough of this and stand up....

In this instance the police were justified in what they did:

Trowbridge said the person who originally called to report an assault had left the scene and was later located at a house a few blocks away. He told deputies that he had been struck in the head by a man with a pistol at a block party on Daughtry Street. He was taken to a local hospital.
The sheriff said the deputies went to the home on Daughtry Street to find the man's attacker.

So the assailant was at the party and the crowd was interfering with their finding and arresting them.

The Kurds got so tired of the Iranian military barging in and taking/killing people, that they started to abduct and decapitate military personnel of the Iranian regime, then stuck the heads of these people on poles to scare off the rest of the military shills. This was some decades back.

See it as a warning wrapped in a metaphor. You can't push people non-stop, because when they snap - they snap.

[color=#33CCFF]Civilian review boards are the only answer. Citizens should be called to serve on review boards like they are called to jury duty. Also police should be tested each month for Steroids.

Article states early on that it was at the wrong address. What the cop states is that the guy got assaulted at a block party on that street, not necessarily if it was the same party.

Either way, there's something seriously wrong when cops swarm in on your party, you ask them what they want, and they tell you to STFU and start tasering people.

Perhaps the cops should have considered more appropriate communication skills if they wanted better results. But in the end they arrested seven people unrelated to the assault, and that's what they are paid to do, right?

"It was a large crowd that grew unruly" and why perchance did they become unruly? Because the cops stormed the place and incited the whole incident. When a simple question and answer session would have sufficed. Sometime cops are way too quick to play with thier shiney new toys. I can see a day when they will really have problems showing themselves in public, its a shame.

Yet another example of the police using poor judgement and bad tactics that resulted in a situation they then felt they had to use force to get themselfs out of and people not related to the original problem ended up in jail.

What I am getting is that the call originated from the address that the victim fled to, but that the assailant was at the block party at that address.

Believe it or not, they don’t have too, and it can make a bad situation worse.

Yeah, they started a brawl with the officers. Under no circumstances do you ever touch an officer or start a confrontation with them, even if they are in the wrong. You let them go about their activates and you take it up through filing a complaint or through civil litigation.

No Warrant, No Victim, No description of the alleged assailant, Just a Phoned In complaint.

There is a proper way to handle a situation like this.
First you have the Victim “Sign” a complaint, then you get the description of the assailant. Then you don’t just start harassing the first block party you come to, you MUST ask permission from the home owner to enter the property…the Sherriff deputies are NOT in pursuit of a felon, so they DO NOT have the right just to show up and crash the party.

Then there is a improper way to handle a situation like this…and that is the choice the Warren County, MS. Deputies chose. Just crash the party and start ordering the citizens around. Well they are “The Law” and citizens are supposed to do what their Masters tell them…Right? To hear the Sheriff tell it that is exactly what was to happen. Sheriff was glad he had a extra shift on duty because of a situation like this occurred.

The way I and most citizens see it is the Sheriff Deputies caused the entire thing. No Deputies present No problems,…Deputies show up, Problem.

So the morale of the story the Sheriff wants the Citizens to learn is…
When your Masta (master) is present, you stop what you are doing…lower you eyes…and do as you are told…Period. This ain’t a free country, and you are still our slaves.

So glad to see citizens stand up for themselves.

That's why you have to have cameras. If you don't, then this persons advice is worth nothing since it'll be your word against the police cops word, and to pull a bad argument that's very apt(and to make this sentence an oxymoron): "We all know how that goes!"
