Turkmenistan rejects Israeli ambassador, says he is 'Mossad spy'

www.haaretz.com

Turkmenistan has rejected Israel's designated ambassador for the second time, claiming that the proposed envoy is a Mossad operative.

The Turkmen Foreign Ministry recently informed Israel that it will not accept the credentials of Haim Koren, who was appointed in August 2010, because his resume indicates that he spent three years as an instructor at the National Security College in Glilot. A Foreign Ministry source in Jerusalem said the Turkmen government saw that as proof that he was a ...

...Mossad spy, rather than a diplomat.

The Foreign Ministry tried repeatedly to explain that the college was an educational institution and not an intelligence body, but could not convince the Turkmen officials.

"We want you to send us an ambassador who will deal with bilateral relations, not a spy to collect intelligence on Iran," a senior Turkmen official reportedly told Israeli officials.

This follows Turkmenistan's refusal in late 2009 to accept Israel's first candidate, Reuven Daniel, who had served in the Mossad in the past. After Turkmenistan refused to accept him, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman made Daniel ambassador to Ukraine as a consolation prize.

I thought this was a rather hilarious news article and I decided to post it in order to ligthen up your day (or night depending on which part of the world you are living in).

Turkmenistans anxiety is uderstandable. Embassies have often been the centre of foreign intelligence espionage (Yugoslavia) and have often been involved in regime change (Iran 1953). Infact this fear even once prompted Iranian college students to hold hostage American diplomats in the American Embassy in Iran for 444 days.

The initial appointment of a former Mossad employee was already rather blunt in terms of bilateral relations, however, is this fear of Mossad espionage over-exaggerated? That is for you to decide.

I personally believe no Zionist should be accepted as an Ambassador, most who are aware of how coups occur, they know that it is operated through the embassies, also attempts to cause unrest etc are also coordinated through embassies.

This is a well known fact.

It is even against US interest to keep Zionist Ambassador in its territory, as they have been exposed for spying on Americans, and even trying to steal national security information, infiltrating the American security apparatus etc..

The Zionist regime should be contact indirectly, maybe through other embassies, that would be much better and safer.

Perhaps all foreign Israelli embassy staff in all countries should be expelled until:
-Israel agrees to sign up and allow IAEA nuclear watchdog to examine there nuclear facilities.
-Sign the non-poliferation treaty.
-Start abiding to International Law.
