Freddy Kruger in Nightmare on Elm Street

and so on.....

How about the cable movie too big to fail where the wall street bankers are the villains in some way.

Joseph whats-his-name as Captain Rhodes in Day of the Dead, comes to mind first. Maybe not truly evil, but definitely mad.

Gotta think of some more.

Usually the Devil / Satan in movies is the ultimate evil guy...



But if I had to pick a "normal" guy... hmm I would vote for The Black Knight in Monthy Python or Black Adder!

Of course you have the car "Christine", EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pure unadulterated evil.

And just plain wrong.

It seemed to me that Daniel Day Lewis' character in "There Will Be Blood" seened just pure evil.

It's great that you mention Training Day, I think that is a vastly underrated movie, really well made.
I'm kind of surprised it never got more attention.

Can't remember the name, but the villain in Last Action Hero. He had a great line too, "If God were a villain...he'd be me!"

Jigsaw, in the Saw movies...I mean, wow...the most evil thing he does is make you almost feel as if he's justified in torturing people!

Caspar Guttman, The Maltese Falcon. Sydney Greenstreet was the perfect foil to Bogart. would have maid an awesome Bond villain. "That's good, sir! That's very good! Hm hm!"

Noah Cross, Chinatown. John Huston played him as an outwardly amiable politician without a soul. "The future, Mr. Gittes! The future!"

agree wi Dark Knight's Joker, and Anton Chirghu (sp?) from No Country. Eeeeeee-vil.
