By XAVIER A. PITASSI-- Our Founding Fathers entrenched in this country the quality of Freemasonry, the patriotism of our Craft and the dedication of all Brethren to our nation's ideals of freedom and excellence. Freemasonry is America. The two are inseparable. Our Brethren have cemented the union of the Craft and the country through more than two and one half centuries of labor and achievement. Today no Mason works alone. He shares in and benefits from a dual heritage of Americanism and Freemasonry rooted in the earliest years of our country.

The seed bed of Masonic idealism established by those early Masonic founders of America and many hundreds of unnamed colonial Freemasons bore a rich harvest during the American Revolution. Paul Revere and John Hancock fought for liberty in word and deed. Freemasons proudly stood among the Minutemen when they fired the first shots at the Battles of Lexington and Concord. There is a monument at Bunker Hill that marks where Joseph Warren, the Grand Master of Massachusetts, sacrificed his life for freedom.

This article talks about the role of Freemasonry in the founding of the United States of America. A large number of Freemasons were signers of both the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution which established the republic form of democracy in America. This involvement by Freemasons can historically be established beyond all doubt. It is quite hard to believe that Freemasonry has suddenly changed its mind after hundreds of years and is now a proponent of a totalitarian NWO. It appears much more likely that Freemasonry is being conspired against with a multitude deceptions because of its strident support of liberty, equality and tolerance, rather than vice versa.

Nine signers of the Declaration of Independence were masons, among them John Hancock. Thirteen signers of the Constitution of the United States were Masons.

George Washington, Paul Revere, Ben Franklin all were masons. This country is a country FOUNDED on masonic principles of Equlaity, Liberty, and Tolerance.

I am still curious to know why the anti-Masons do not wish to discuss the very tangible works of Masons, such as the documents surrounding the founding of the United States of America. It strikes me that the words and symbology in these document reveal the true goodness in Masonry and that its critics can't handle the truth, so they would rather ignore it.

The silence on this topic is deafening.

and death

In the early 1800s, William Morgan disappeared after threatening to expose Freemasonry's secrets, causing some to claim that he had been murdered by Masons. In Italy, in the 1970s, the P2 lodge was investigated in the wake of a financial scandal and a suspicious death.

Knowing what I know of masonry I find it hard to believe there is a thread such as this on ANY web site, much less a site chcok full of doubters and debunkers.

read your post... did not see any relevance to the thread. Can you help me understand what the disappearance of Captain Morgan has to do with anything, seeing as masons have only been implicated and never convicted of his "disappearance" and how the antimasonic movement, that sprang from that incident, has been thoroughly and totally discredited since then?

not only on the willam moragan "affair" but on their whole position? Not only that, but there is sufficient evidence available to convince me that Morgan was not killed, but rather, was paid off, and lived out his life outside the United States...

Masons have NEVER acted out the penalties. Not once, and the only example is the Morgan "affair" which was clearly politically motivated and had no basis in actual fact...
