You realize that that only really works in English, right?

For example:

Spanish: sol–domingo hijo
French: soleil–Dimanche fils
Latin: sol/solis–dominica filius

He never claimed to be a god, or asked to be worshipped. The Religion of chrisitanity today is falsified. The true religion of christianity is hidden in the Vatican archives for a purpose: so that you will falsely follow them, their idols and not the true teachings of jesus.

Why do christiians worhsip on SUNday? Not SONday? This is all based upon the worshipping of idols and deification of false entities. Once again Christianity has been hijacked.

Firstly Jesus so-called testimony was for JEWS only. NOT for gentiles. Saul/Paul needed something to help sell his new 'religion' and managed to convince alot of people that the words attributed to Jesus in the gospels which are clearly aimed at Jews were infact for everyone. What BS!!!!!
How can you say that 'true' christianity has been hijacked when the whole story of Jesus is just a re-writing of older PAGAN allegories. Was Jesus real or allegorical?? How can we ever know? We were not around in his so called era and today we rely on heresay and second hand information for the 'facts' of religion. I suggest you do some research into religions pre-dating modern 'christianity' and you will find the same story told on every continent. Modern Christianity/Judaism is the bastard child of the paganism that used to flourish all over the world. Strangely when Paganism was predominant in the world - with the worship of God AND Goddess - differences in opinion and personal belief were tollerated a lot more than today - it seems things went tits up when the male only religions were FORCED on people under pain of death. So sad.

Once again Christianity has been hijacked.

I agree, but what if a small minority saw the flaws and tried to correct them.

This is why the clergy of Christendom tired to keep the bible from the masses, they knew if people ever read it, there would be questions, questions that they would have a hard time answering. Basically from the first Council of Nicaea until the Gutenberg press was able to mass produce bibles, they could say and do whatever they wanted and brand all others as heretics to be killed, burned at the stake & condemned to hell.
But certain Christians came along and began to question the established order. Some of the men that tried to get things back on track that I have respect for are:

John Wycliffe
Michael Servetus
William Tyndale
Henry Grew

Groups I respect for their stand:

Waldensians
Lollards

These groups and people all had one thing in common the weren't afraid to go against church dogma even if it cost them their lives. They call it the Dark Ages for a reason.

Jesus foretold the hijacking of his teachings by apostate Christians, then it was elaborated on by the apostle Paul and sure enough it happened just like he said.

2 Thessalonians 2: 3-12
3Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. 5Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? 6And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. 7For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. 8Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; 9that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, 10and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

This scripture perfectly describes the apostate clergy class of Christendom.

Actually, Yeshua's message was for everyone. It was given first to the Jews, then to the lost tribes, then to Gentiles.

No it was not. It was the teachings of Moses. The ten commandments and the torah. Moses discouraged idolatry.

Christianity discourages idolatry too. The Vatican is a whole diferent subject, they seperate themselves from Christianity by calling themselves catholics. Not saying all catholics I hear it all the time "I'm not Christian i'm catholic".

As for Sunday worship, nowhere in the Bible has the sabbath been changed to sunday.

There are numerous mythical savior figures however I decided to do a little bit of research on Mithras. I know wikipedia isn't always accurate however I would trust it's accuracy over a site called "Christianity Revealed" which sounds like they have an obvious agenda. I don't think many aspects of Mithras's story match up with that of Jesus. Even the date of December 25th is contested

According to M.J.Vermaseren, the Mithraic New Year and the birthday of Mithras was on December 25.[51][52] However, Beck disagrees strongly.[53] Clauss states; "the Mithraic Mysteries had no public ceremonies of its own. The festival of natalis Invicti [Birth of the Unconquerable (Sun)], held on 25 December, was a general festival of the Sun, and by no means specific to the Mysteries of Mithras."[54]

source

Don't get me wrong I think Christianity is false but I'm not sure Mithras and Jesus share all that much in common. For one thing Mithras is depicted as being born from a rock and is often sculpted killing a bull two things that are foreign to the Jesus story.

Here's some more discrepancies:

It is sometimes said that the birth of Mithras was a virgin birth, like that of Jesus. But no ancient source gives such a birth myth for Mithras.

Mithras in comparison with other beliefs

So while some do tend to draw parallels these parallels are not undisputed by academia. This reminds me very much of the Zeitgeist film's attempt at debunking Christianity often by using questionable or outright false information to do so. Christianity's major flaws lie within the Bible, in the logical contradictions and moral repugnance of both the Bible and the religion's teachings. Oh, and the complete lack of evidence for any supernatural claims ever made by anyone ever, Christian or not.

Ah, the whole Mithras thing.
Trouble is, if you take a little time to study, that there are two versions of the Mithras myth floating around, the original Persian (pre-Christ) and the Roman (all our records are post-Christian).
In the original, Mithras was born from a rock, not a virgin.
He was not born on the Feast of the Unconquered Sun (that is the later Roman date, probably a carry on from the original god/s they worshipped on Dec 25th).
He did not die on a cross. Actually when reading the source texts about Mithras I have never found this claim from Mithraic legend in the Roman times either.
He had no disciples.
He did have a celibate priesthood - Mithraism was a religion for men only, mostly for soldiers.
I can recall nothing either pre- or post-Christian about ascending to heaven at the time of Easter/Passover.

The basic story of Mithras is that the good god Ahura Mazda had him born from a rock and conquering a bull - who was the bad god Ahriman.

There is one connection with Christian ritual however, in that Roman Mithraists practised the taurobolium, bathing or baptism with bull's blood. However our evidence for this is after the time Christianity became popular.

I would recommend "The Ancient Mysteries: A Sourcebook" by Marvin W Meyer if you want to find out more information.
Much of what is written about similarities to Christianity in ancient religions tends to be from the post-Christian era. Bar similarities to Judaism of course!
