Obama Administration Shuts Down Investigations Into Bush-era Torture!

As part of its cover-up of Bush administration war crimes, the Obama administration announced June 30 that it would shut down 99 investigations into deaths of prisoners in US custody during the so-called “war on terror,” leaving only two investigations with the potential to develop into criminal prosecutions.

The announcement underscores the fact that the anti-democratic policies developed during the presidency of George W. Bush continue unchallenged under President Barack Obama, who is doing everything in his power to keep the lid on the crimes of his predecessor.

Following the events of September 11, 2001, the Bush administration quickly and quietly erected a network of secret prisons and “black sites,” where opponents of US imperialism in the Middle East—as well as, in many cases, their friends, relatives and acquaintances—were jailed, tortured and murdered.

Oh Obama.. Can anyone believe this loser anymore?! He lies and covers things up left and right and sheeple eat it up like candy! What really gets me is how are people supposed to trust anything his administrations say's! They are covering up the crimes of Bush.. and IMO, it's all because they NWO agenda cannot be sidetracked with any of these 'war crimes' and so they must be swept under the rug like nothing ever happened! One of these days, the straw is going to break the camels back and people will wake up and see the US government for what it really is, Liars, cheats, criminals... all taking away liberties and freedom from not only its citizens, but also citizens of the world who's countries are in cahoots with these NWO scum!

I think what's most interesting is that people keep making connections to Obama and socialism... yet the site you linked is owned by "World Socialist Web", a Marxist organization and they are attacking Obama.

So here's a question to all you knee-jerk Obama haters.

Are you going to criticize him over not investigating something that Bush didn't do, according to you (and which you supported when he did it even though he didn't do it)"

There was no torture. This was enhanced interrogation used on Muslim terrorists. Information obtained by this method helped us locate and terminate Osama bin Laden.

I know Obama loves to punish success. But it this case the public backlash would have been tremendous.

Duh. His administration has been doing this since they came into office. Covering up these crimes makes him complicit, you would bring that SOB to the Hague and he too could be brought in for war crimes.

No it isnt, its far better then the most mainstream news news sites, since they are all carrying obamas water.

Shameful. But predictable. I never had hopes there would be a thorough and sincere investigation under Obama since, right from the start of his presidency, he said he was going to “look forward and not backwards.”

You can call it whatever you want, but we have convicted people and denounced practices we used on prisoners. And “enhanced interrogation” wasn’t used only on “Muslim terrorists.”

But it’s understandable that thinking otherwise makes you feel better about these colossal mistakes and crimes.
