Suggesting the most humane way for you to honor your own word isn't telling you to commit suicide- it is having compassion. A man honors his word and since you seem so sincere and dedicated I wouldn't want you to prolong your suffering.

Now either honor your own words or admit you're utterly and totally hypocritical.
