Sounds like OP is mad, or scared that anon is threatening his little bubble.

Anon isn't trying to change the laws or impede free speech, just let the bad people know who they are. The only negative side of them is they once were associated with 4chan(which they are not anymore, which is obviously apparent if you been on 4chan at all in the past year). Anon uses just about every social network on the net BESIDES 4chan.

They are still taking down all these companies and organizations? Why do most of the stories seem to have concluded with "after a few hours the website was back up" and that is about it. What do you know?

They are not continuing to ddos them no.. which is what takes down the website. However hackers are still extracting info and working to get all their skeletons in the closet so to speak.

Yeah it was too bad about all the people who suffered and died when the PSN was down. Oh my "God", what a human tragedy. How many people, do you estimate suddenly realized that they were addicted to this, IMHO waste of time? Couldn't it have been a sort of WAKE-UP CALL for them? Trying to show them that they're too busy living an other reality? And how where the reactions as soon as that reality was taken away from them? Of course they were very understanding about it all and nobody cursed, screamed or was agressiv in any way?

So good thing for them to have been off the grid a few weeks. Probably they went straight back where they where, when PSN was taken down !

And you talking about "criminals" where is the proof that there are on 4Chan? There probably are, but that is no proof, that is an assumption. Who can proof to me that you are not a criminal? Most of the people protesting and acting this ludicrous and blaming and calling other people, they never seen, don't know or dont't know anything about, calling them names and acting like a moralist. Most of the time these are people have a lot more to hide then the people they trying to blame.

I am not confusing anything. I am asking for information. I do not understand what harm she was doing or what there place was in terrorizing her into stopping it. Where can I read up on this other than linkless posts?

Your still associating anonymous with /b/ which is wrong. You can't really find this info on a link you have to have been there to see it happen.

4chan. This has also been explained numerous times before. Just because something is linked does not mean it is true and just because something is not linked does not mean it is false.

Also- a teeny, tiny, miniscule amount of effort on your part would bring you FLOODS of information on Jessi as well as the timeline of the whole thing up until her father was charged with child abuse. The fact that this has not been done in this case speaks volumes about your position on the issue.

While I'm still not sure where I stand on the Jessi situation (what she was doing was wrong but trying to force her offline the way they did was harassment and criminal), you have to admit that when the reigns of Anon were taken into a more political nature against Scientology, WBC and recently with Monsanto, the group actually became the internet heroes, the Batman of the digital landscape trying to take out cults and organisations that are nothing but bad news.

Even I know that and I don't know much about them save for what I've read online about them the past few years. Sure you'll have the bad people involved since it is indeed "anonymous" but for the most part, they do seem like the kind of people we can cheer from the sidelines.

I agree completely. No good seems to be coming from it. But here in the US Anon is regularly cited in proposed internet censorship laws. As such, it appears to be a huge detriment to say the very least

Just read that over and over until it makes sense to you. If you're sane, it will never make sense.

So, these internet heroes show up to "save" this little girl and instead of taking the logical route like calling her parents and saying something like "Hey, your daughter is doing unscrupulous things on the internet that I don't think you're aware of." They instead harass her by hacking her facebook and email accounts, while calling her in the middle of the night and making death threats. My heroes!

Who asked these people to do this? If this was any other group (say a government agency or something) that hacked into someone's emails/facebook and took them offline you would lose your head over it. But since it's a group of people that you have this pre-conceived notion of them being internet heroes, you're like "nah... they did what they needed to do..."

What's to stop them from doing this to you?
