Here are a few more dark poems- I wrote these waay baaack. Instead of posting individually, thought I'd post several in one.

MY JOURNEY

In total darkness; blackened night
Vision blurred yet with sight
Rejecting unwanted reoccuring truth
The clues were all there...
Don't need a sleuth.

Heading onward in my journey today
Facing the unknown..needing to pray..
With shattered dreams for tomorrow
Abandoned, marred... left in sorrow.

THE BATTLE

Authoritative demands,
and restriction...
Rubbing of elbows
and contorting friction.
Battle of wills...
Not to surrender
Prolongation of a fate
That cannot be hindered.
Defensive armor all in place
Persistantly trying to win my case.

NO CURE

Secluded... hidden behind the scenes
No more dare saying a word...
No more "dare" to dream...
Focused not - not wanting to know
The pain that lies ahead ...
That awaits to pounce:
That makes you wish you were dead.

Bereaved and heartbroken
Among the scattered ash
How- oh how do I-
Heal this bludgeoned gash?
A free bleeder am I
There is no cure
For this ill-fated life:
I'm "dying" ... to endure....

Silently hanging in the gallows
Though slowly fading away...
Memories are getting fainter
Yet haunted day by day...

The balance beam unsteady
Afraid to take a step
With heart already broken
Yet desiring it be kept.

Turned: Animal tendencies
In the wild of the night
Beware around the corner
Of what might bite...
"Blue moon" beams dance
Upon the clueless prey
In the thickness of the forest
And instinct guides the way...
Survival tactics ready:
I'm the Cub who hibernates
I will sleep until it's over
Then will roar upon the gates.

I haven't been reading in this part of the forum for a while so this is the first time I came across your poetry.
I love it!
They remind me about my own dark wonderings, years ago. Those who've been there recognize the meaning of the words!
