S&F Love the way you describe the way the media influences the naive people in modern society. Maybe it's time for everyone that never has cared to become spiritual, to at least try and give that side of life a chance.

From what I've seen science and the modern way of thinking from the media is not helping this world, it's hindering it, not science as much as media.

The world IMHO of this modern era has damaged this Earth way more than the thousands of years before this nifty media talking head politically correct speaking society.

Give it a chance, we need it more than ever! You go on with your bad self Jim!

I don't know which is the bigger trip. '___' or a small German man in his Grannies Jumper professing to have the secrets of the universe.

Let me guess, our buddy Jim has no intentions of giving his riches to the poor.

justifies being callous and ignoring the plights of others

Carrey took part in the America: A Tribute to Heroes charity telethon for victims of 9/11, and donated $1 million to the cause.
In August 2007, Carrey made an internet video to try to bring attention to the political suppression in Burma, especially of Nobel Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi.
Jim Carrey's Charity Work, Events and Causes

Jim Carrey has supported the following charities:
• Comic Relief
• Generation Rescue
• Luke Neuhedel Foundation
• Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center
• National Veterans Foundation
• St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
• Toy Mountain Campaign

Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey hosted a celebrity-studded fundraiser for autism research on Saturday night.
The gala raised money for Generation Rescue – an autism support charity established in 2005 of which McCarthy is a board member

Jim Carrey donated $1,000,000 to the families of the victims of the terror attack. Jim Carrey's publicist gave this statement: "with his deepest sympathy for their unredeemable personal losses. He hopes this donation encourages other people to contribute as generously as they can."

Jim Carrey told the touching story of two survivors who carried a woman in a wheelchair 68 stories down the stairs to escape from the twin towers because she had been unable to save herself, without even knowing her name.

He also answered the phone to take donations from viewers from USA and Canada.

I understand how what you say certainly applies to some if not many, but broad stroking anything that describes a culture, whether it be the affluent or 'spiritual' people is somewhat disingenuous, imo. To each their own though...

- spoken like a true 'spirit' dude, I know But I also work, play music, volunteer and support my family too. So it just seems unfair to pigeonhole others that see things differently.

Peace (no offense)

Yeah I admit he is definitely better than most celebs, I even kinda like the guy personally, and he is indeed very funny imho.

I really support what he has done in relation to vaccination awareness especially.

My criticism was not meant to put him down per se, but to merely show that there is another side of the story. A big movie star giving away 1million dollars is not really that big of a deal, it's probably only 1% of their total money. Plus they get Tax Breaks which is typically the primary factor in charity for big $$$.

My wife will sometimes give away 100% of our money (when we have 10$ left) and a family member asks her for it lol. And trust me I get angry about it because I am really poor already and people with far better incomes than myself do not have any real right to come bumming my limited funds.

But yes I would agree to a middle ground solution for Jim. He is a good guy yes, but I truly feel he has a lot more to learn.

Agreed man, and if laughter is good medicine, Jim should be given a Phd

Man, talk about a juxtaposition, he's come a long way from the 80's in his journey.

You claim it's mumbo jumbo or whatever but then you bring up Jesus and the Bible?

I'm sorry, but you can't attack mumbo jumbo with more mumbo jumbo.

Scary thought process you have there. Your comment is an example of whats wrong with the world. Hopefully one day you may be lucky enough to have a spiritual awakening. Even rich people have a soul.

I don't think this is about being rich at all. Jim Carrey is a person that makes people laugh, he is an idol of comedy. I think people can respect him for that reason, and see beyond his riches. After all, anyone can become rich. At least he probably uses his money a bit better than most rich people.

This is actually a story from 2009. A new video is up on youtube but there are others up a couple of years.

Carey starrred in Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine, both of which prompted the viewer to question their reality. Its obviously effected Carey in his own personal life.

I don't understand how you are linking this to Charlie Sheen?? This isn't a MSM story. Can you please explain the point you are making becasue it don't make sense to me , sorry.

Oh, I just assumed this was something new. It came off that way.

I wasn't making any point. I was just implying if given a chance the MSM may try to put Charlie and Jim under the same category, and claim they have lost it.
