The more venom and bile people respond with to a particular topic, the more I tend to dig deeper into the subject matter. Those that gnaw and gnash against Glen Beck are the very same people who make me pay attention to him. I can't believe that I'm the only one who thinks this.

What I can appreciate are facts, not baseless rebuttal and ad hoc hatred. If you can refute his facts, then do so. If you're here to simply call him names then you're doing your side a disservice. If your ideals makes more sense than Glen's, then I'm more than happy to back you up. Otherwise, take your hatred to the parking lot. There are people who will be more than happy to meet you there after school...

He is for the most part done but will live on like Rush Limbaugh somewhere in the weeds, preaching to his on insipid little choir.

Gotta disagree to a certain extent... I'm not much on Beck because of the constant fear mongering and BS he mixes in with legitimate news. But, when you say radio stations dropped him, that's misleading. Syndication programs frequently get dropped from a station for a plethora of reasons other than ratings. In 2002 he had 47 stations, in 08 he had 300 and 1 year ago he signed his 400th station, and he's over that now. He's the 3rd highest rated radio show in the country. SO phrasing it like he's bombing on the radio is misleading.

As far as tv, that's another story. But you are still misleading people. Yes his ratings are down. But he's still always #1 in his timeslot on the news channels. He's 2nd on fox to the Oreilley factor. Cable news ratings are always low. As a matter of fact even with his ratings dip he's still the #2 program out of all the shows on the cable news networks, so poor ratings is relative. #2 isn't bad.

As far as charity, I don't know what his foundations and fundraisers give but per his tax returns he made about 14 million dollars last year and he gave about 3 million dollars to the Wounded Warrior Foundation, Tea Party and the 9/12 movement, those 3 being the largest recipients of his personal donations. 1/5th of your income is a pretty healthy donation.

Rush Limbaugh living on in the weeds preach to his insipid little choir.... Really? Can you exaggerate anymore? Hosting the #1 Radio Program in the country for how long now? Nothing little about that at all. Voted the most important radio host in America again? Good gracious....

Lastly, Glen Becks new thing, Glenn Beck TV. It's an interesting concept as it uses the same technology as the MLB network. He needs 50k subscribers to make more money than he did at fox, and I believe he hit that number already. But his major voice will still be his radio program.

It's funny that the motto of ATS is DENY IGNORANCE yet people can't see past their own opinions to state facts. I'm not a beck fan at all but the guy is the 2nd or 3rd most powerful radio personality on the political talk circuit. As far as a cable news personality he's been the biggest or the second biggest for quite awhile. ANd his new venture is already making him more money than Fox was paying him. And it's probably the future of many tv programs.

Just because you don't like the guy doesn't mean you have to mislead people and tell lies It really detracts from any point you attempt to make when you litter your post with so many untruths and exaggerations.

Because Beck doesnt tell the whole truth. He mixes halftruths with his own spin and calls it absolute truth. The problem with this (aside from the obvious spin) is that those halftruths are taken directly from Alex Jones. I cant even list another person where his material could have been taken. Almost everything the man says is ripped directly from Alex Jones. Lets not even mention the fact that the man was completely different 2 years ago. Beck is literally begging you to listen to him speak about issues that he flat out laughed about in prior interviews. I also have no idea why he has such a hard on for Israel, but really Glenn? Do we need to hear about it on every show?

I tried. I did not find any details about who in the TEA party Glenn Beck donates money to so what I did was I asked the person that said he did that for some elucidation. The lack of sources or links was kind of an issue.

The only reason Fox was happy to let their superstar go is because his brain has shifted from it's foundations. He has more in common with Charlie Sheen than he does other newscasters.

He also didn't ''rush to condemn her' and demanded 'her side of the story be heard'. From the very beginning Beck promoted the out of context video put forth by Breitbart.

6. Obama proposed to increase the capital gains tax on every single American who invests.

He only proposed an increase on the upper income levels.

These are just off the top of my head. I wrote a 53 page paper on current media and propaganda. The lies of Glen Beck and Fox news took up a fairly large portion of that paper.
