Removing Muqtada al-Sadr & consequences?

Should the U.S. take out radical cleric Muqtada al-Sadr in Iraq? This needs to be done to ensure Iraqi democracy. Could possibly the Iraqi forces do the dirty work? What effect would this removal of the radical cleric by force from the Holy Muslim temple have on Bush's election?
