Limbo's Hell: Poetry 1998

This is one of my first poems from highschool. I hope you like it, it's one of my favorites and my family and friends favorites. Thanks for reading!

Limbo's Hell

I pass through time a new horizon,
faintly weeping, darkness blinding.
Tell me what I need to do,
You help me and I'll help you.

Show all of your hidden tricks,
Don't be shy, I beg of this.
What is left that I must do,
I've flown the skies I've roped the moon.

It's been awhile since I've been home,
I miss the only home I've known.
You snatched me up, threw me down,
The fall was far, It shook the ground.

The war torn hearts, the vain and cold,
The evil, dark, dread, hate filled souls.
Love guide me, show me, yell it, howl.
Stuck in limbo, our own hell.

Oh bright stars guide me on,
Send me back, point me home.
Is home the same as it was then?
Or is it now the devil's den?

You hear their cries, feel their pain.
So many suffer, die in vain.
Why must this world succumb to this?
You ignorant fools look what you did!

A child dies, a family cries,
The modern world just rolls their eyes.
They don't care about our pain,
Only when it comes their way.

The war torn hearts, the vain and cold,
The evil, dark, dread, hate filled souls.
Love guide us, show us, yell it, howl.
Stuck in limbo, our own hell.

Have I awaken, shaken, shook.
I read the words I've read the book.
It tells me to live not for me.
But live for love live love for thee.

Is it real, is it fake?
Is life a dream a sad mistake?
So many killed in his name,
Now legions rise thats lost their faith.

In the end it's up to you.
You showed your tricks, now I'll show you.
The love I have will shine on through,
and I will find the good in you.
Yes I will find the good in you.

This love filled heart, no longer cold.
The evil, dark, dread, soul is gone.
Love guided me and now I yell,
No longer lost in limbo's hell.
