Rare White Buffalo Born...Many Tribes Celebrate

Very interesting flash news video. Various Indian Tribes come together to celebrate the birth of only the 3rd white buffalo born.

According to their beliefs, the birth of a 4th white buffalo will be the sign of the end of times.

This baby buffalo was born in May during a thunderstorm.
No one was allowed to film the part of the celebration where the baby was named.

Enjoy. It was new news to me! Enlightening story.

Hopefully it wasn't actually the fourth one born and they just miscounted or lost the third one.

Funny! I never thought about that! Surely they keep good track! :-)

Apparently one was born in April in the same herd, they named it rainbow but it died withing 24 hours. So this is indeed the 4th born.

In 1933 a white buffalo calf was born in Colorado, and in 1994 another one, named Miracle, was born in Janesville, Wisconsin, on the ranch of Dave and Valerie Heider. Thousands of people of many different faiths have visited Miracle, testifying that her birth is a call for all races to come together to heal the earth and solve our mutual problems.

On 9 May of this year, a silvery­white buffalo calf named Medicine Wheel was born at the ranch of Joe Merrival on the Pine Ridge reservation of South Dakota. Another white calf, Rainbow, had been born in the same herd on 27 April. It died 25 hours later of scours, a diarrhea­type condition.

Exactly.. what is to say one wasn't born in the wild and died and was eaten by scavengers?

Hmmmm....maybe different tribes have different prophecies on the White Buffalo.

Yeah but there were plenty of wild buffalo over the past 2000 years, which is the time span of this prophecy.

I guess since we are already above 10 this doesn't matter now lol.

Either way, he's the 4th white buffalo calf....Indians now say it's the end.

I give more credence to the native american prophecy than any other.

I think the message of everyone learning to come together is the right one.

We are just a part of this planet like cells in the body or bees to a beehive.

Mother Earth is pi$$ed off at us and She is cleansing Herself of all the cancer of humanity.

Could it be the white buffalo count under just the tribes that were in celebration?

Seems these 'rare' white Buffs are ten a penny.

Just goes to show you can't beat a good ole campfire scary story, told by a bloke dressed in a white buffalo skin.

One article that member posted via link said there were less than 50 white buffalo in the US.

The count of the white buffalo must be connected to just certain tribes. Maybe it was the 3rd white buff born for these few tribes that were celebrating. Where other tribes maybe believe the count is different.

Keep in mind... "Known white buffalos born"

If you consider the prophecy only applying to their animals, which I didn't think they believed in ownership, then the prophecy probably only relates to their tribe and not the rest of the world.

Either way I always like to find out new stuff and didn't know this one...good find
