I love these posts, not because they are insightful or prophetic but the short sighted perspective they represent. In short the largest armed force in world history past or present was not 1942 Germany or the USSR of 1957. It is not the US Military at the height of Vietnam. It is the 35 Million gun owners that live in the USA TODAY.

No NWO, Alien Species, Standing Army or Dictator would survive its onslaught; Two Hundred years of freedom of gun ownership will protect us for another two hundred years, If you want to be a part buy a gun. Teach you children to use one safely and pass it on.

I agree with you. We would almost be impossible to stop with a small arms battle. But.... they all have much bigger weapons than we do, to include bio-tech weapons. We would have a hard time with a scenario such as that, not to mention the other WMDs.

Oh please. Listen to yourself. Like a vastly-superior alien race would be intimidated by a bunch of monkeys with steel pea-shooters. Get real. If an alien race really wanted to wipe us out they'd just release a chemical or virus into our atmosphere that was specifically-tuned to harm humans. While you and good ol' Charlton Heston were shootin' at the clouds, the aliens would be unharmed way up in space, waiting for you to cough your last, then prise the guns from your cold dead hands.

Me and every other Texan will not give up our freedom (our right to bear arms) without a very bloody fight. This is why I think what the OP is bringing to our attention will not take place, especially in TEXAS. LET THEM TRY...I'M READY.


Actually, Texas is big enough to be it's own country... so I think we have a better chance of preserving our right to bear arms than the rest of the country. Texas is also I think 8% of the nation as far as total legal firearms legally owned, by about 24 or so million Texans. So.. considering that we are as big as France and in a strategic location, I don't see why we couldn't eventually secede.... if it came down to a federal, police state situation. VOTE RON PAUL!

I can tell you both why you should defend American gun owner's rights. In a nutshell, it is so they will defend your rights in return. We have two major sides of political culture in the US and they are both pitted against each other and both sides are guilty.

You have the left who wants gay marriage but no gun rights.
You have the right who wants the feds to stay out of our lives yet wants the feds to dictate what happens in the bedroom.

How about this: everybody stay consistent. You defend my rights and I defend yours. This "I want the right to ____ but don't want you to have the right to ______" attitude is prevalent on both sides and it is exactly why we lose each and every freedom we have.


ps - I just realized you are English so I guess I'm barking up the wrong tree. Hopefully you still understand. Just imagine if England had a two-party system and you might understand my frustration. It's brilliantly evil how we do it.

Well you don't have to like guns, that's your choice, but like I said who the hell are you to ridicule someone just because they like guns? If you think taking away guns from law abiding citizens who do not harbor ill will towards others will make you safer, try and think logically then please.......tell me, why has crime risen drastically in the UK after the 1997 ban, in fact I open this question up to everyone....PLEASE i cant seem to figure it out since it just cant be gun ban related.....


and not just in UK, look at Australia www.snopes.com...

even look at places in the US where guns are banned.......guns don't kill people people kill people.....simple as that.....let me put it this way, a burglar is more likely to go into a home when he knows probably the home doesn't have a gun in it because they are illegal.

are you sure it was the weapon or was it the ammo? some 9 mm ammo aint just worth one cent will cause a jam, miss fire, and gum up the works slid, ejector, barrel, and clip release. cam not remember the name of the ammo

I never actually had fear they would come after my guns, because even if they did and they could actually find them it wouldn't matter because i would just make more. powder and primers are irrelevant in today's technology, even high explosives are easily had at every walmart

And most who have been kiled have not had guns to defend themselves.....that is fact and that is truth.
