Shocking as it is, the real story is that nothing will come of it, ok so perhaps there may be a few dollars hush money for the kid and he's welcome to it. But this will happen again and again and the people will only stand and stare like the Wildebeest we are!

Theres a poem somewhere, sorry cant remember it but its along the lines of 'they came for someone today, nothing to do with me look away, look away' and at the end theres no one to help the narrator because he didnt say something himself at the beginning.

As long as there's cable TV, a ball game, job/nice car, porn on the net and some other schmucks getting roasted instead of you, no'ones going to give a rats ass about 'the other guy'. Short of a miracle awakening its all over, someones got to be first over the line to be crossed and that will be the strongest, bravest man for 2000yrs or more.

Land of the Free?..........Aye Right!
Home of the Brave........Aye Right!

But understand that this is in NO WAY and anti-american rant, its applicable to most white-led societies from Europe to the USA, Australia included. What to do about it? HTF should I know, but I really wish i knew someone who did know, who wasnt just trying to sell a book or webspace!

Since when do police have the right to beat and taser you for being disrespectful? Never mind if the suspect was handicapped or not. Too many cops have these mountainous ego's. I should know. My father was a cop and boy believe me he has one of those "im the boss" ego's. It comes from them feeling that people MUST obey them. And they are never put in check.

Now granted, not all cops are like this. I won't begin to sit here and say that. I mean look, if cops were allowed to beat you because of being disrespectful, this cop could have killed this guy

I'm actually amazed this cop DID keep his cool. Only posting to show that not all cops are a-holes.

I think that police really need to watch how they use their tazers. ..as well as how far they push their power.

I honestly feel bad for the decent cops, because this kind of behavior just feeds the public distrust, and hate for police.

At some point , there will be some serious retaliation , and unfortunately the decent cops will have to be in the middle of it.

These cops need to be taken off the force...if they can't communicate in a more effective manner .

The best cops I've seen are ones that don't let their egos get in the way, and actually understand human nature ,and how to get people to cooperate with them , in a respectful way.

Are those in the document 11 counts against the police officers? hell they will be heading to unemployment lines soon enough.

What a whole bunch of bullies.

Also a disgrace to the police force in the state, still it doesn't say for what amount the injured party will be suing for.

They need to ease off on the testosterone supplements
or perhaps the Viagra did that to them.

I understood it to be a minimum of 25,000 dollars.

Whats sad is the tax payer pays for these (snip) to be doing a job, then they pay again, when they fail to do their job professionally. Who loses? The tax payer. How much of tax payers money has gone to lawsuits? I'm sure a fair amount, and rightfully so...but still..in the end...its costing the tax payers.

It actually stems from a history of abuse. They NEED to be in power, when they are in power they feel as if the abuse can't happen again...

And this can be all kinds of abuse.

Yes but I think that is 25 thousand for each count in the paper right? no all counts to be higher than 25 thousand. I could be wrong.

Please someone get a picture of Officer Willie Hooper, I want to see what an idiot looks like. He just made the world's most dumbest cop of the week.

Factoid: It's the Dayton police who are mentally challenged and handicapped, any cop who carries a Taser is a wussy...

Ahh,if you did what you want to do to the cops'
donuts,you wouldn't have a job very long!
If the donut shop were to have cameras around
the facilities, your "actions" could end up in a
you tube video going viral over the net.

Maybe even a thread dedicated to your actions here on ATS!

OK, so these cops made a mistake, we all do. And we all pay for them as these cops should. I hope they at the very least lose their jobs and are banned from law enforcement for life. They could have killed this kid like the cops did here in Maryland.

Police say the 40-year-old man became combative with fire and rescue officials while being pulled from a car at the scene of a collision Tuesday night on Route 29, near Briggs Chaney Road. Officials requested help from police, who also tried to remove the man from the car. Authorities said an officer used a Taser gun on the man before taking him into custody. The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.

Look at their convenient 'out'.

Police said a vial of suspected PCP was recovered from the car.

I'm not saying they planted it... just that if they did, wouldn't that make things easier for them?

I think that when a cop abuses the public and the city has to pay damages, the damage amount should come out of the salaries of all the cops on the force, proportional to their pay, i.e., higherups pay more.

That would give them incentive to root out the "bad apples" and to abide by the laws themselves.

I like that train of thought..only problem is you would get more cops covering for each other...and its bad enough already.

What a sad story, Don't emt's know that people in accidents can go into shock, and act out?..don't they know how to use some psychology to calm them down. I've seen some emt's do some really dumb stuff, when they should know better. Yelling, and being aggressive with someone who is emotionally out of control..does NOTHING to help the situation. This is one of the first things they should be learning on this job...how to stay cool and calm, and how to help the victims stay cool and calm.

Oh, my! I can see it now: disability cards required to keep on person, no exception, even for those with memory laspes! Heck! Might as well implement worldwide identification card listing good and bad traits, even for the fugly people! What happened to free speech? Don't these cops know anything about "trourette's disease" and other speech impediments? Being verbally rude in my area didn't make the cop file a report. I wonder why. Hmmm.
