Be on the lookout for ghouls, a cannibal community and a computer president... well maybe a computer president isn't such a bad idea right now

Probably not suh a good idea to be dropping thousands of gallons of water on material that has been contaminated with radioactive particles! Maybe if the were dropping somekind of dry fire suppresant material that would "stick" and coat the stuff would be a better idea. That storage area look like its pretty close to the toen and all that radioactive run-off might be more damaging to the area over the long term.

What has happened to this story? How did this end and what has been learned for the future?

Is it possible that this fire was allowed to deter any future fires which may not be controlled?

Why did they not simply por cememnt over it or build fireproof walls of non flamable around the area?

I dont know, but this is just the tip of the ice berg for what is in store for humanity if madmen are allowed to continue making decissions based on disasters aftermath rather than creating real solid solutions before hand.

Face it these facilities are all over the world and growing in numbers, so none of us are safe if the current regulations and practices continue.

if you go down the nuclid map, thorium 232 results in a stable lead nuclid called Pb 208 with 126 neutrons and 82 Protons. Alone from that point of view, thorium is a way better fuel to use as the usual mox or uranium
