China, Germany enhance bilateral relations

news.xinhuanet.com
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said, "The Sino-German relationship has opened a new page. The sound development of bilateral ties has brought benefits to the people of both countries, as well as to people around the globe. Just saw this article and didn't see anything about it on here. Apparently China and Germany have so much in common they plan to "elevate bilateral relations to a new level". It goes on to read. "...The Chinese government, along with the German government, will strive hard for peace, cooperation and a harmonious wor(l)d for the 21st century." If Right now America is siding with Libyan rebels preforming genocide.

If they are striving for world peace then we, Americans, are on the wrong side of this. Their deal seems pretty straight forward on the surface, but I have to wonder if they might be talking military as well. This maybe a sign of good or bad things to come, or am I'm making something out of nothing..?

Thoughts?

Well I think China is gunning for the top spot in the worlds super powers and making allies like this is a huge step in that direction. They won't or even need to go to war and that's usually a last resort anyways. Instead I see them making alliances and economically becoming unstoppable.

Soon if they continue this route they could be in the position America was in after world war 2. Very smart on their part the way they seem to be playing the global game.

America seems to not have any idea which way it's heading while China seems focused and determined. Time will tell I suppose.

Yes, it's about trade, not arms. There's a Chinese delegation in Europe at the moment meeting heads of state/government to establish closer trade relationships. Here in the UK a trade deal in the region of an additional £1.4 billion was announced at the beginning of the week for example.
