What brought this idea up is a news announcement

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is offering forgivable bridge loans of up to $50,000 to pay mortgage, tax and insurance bills for up to two years in certain states.

But there's a catch: You only have until July 22 to "pre-apply" for the funding through the Emergency Homeowners' Loan Program (EHLP).

Here's the link to those who might want to go for it

Well as you can see this is the kind of member announcement that has significance to many... only question is ...
as things are now there really isn't a place for these kinds of things... member supplied links and info to things like grants, class offerings, special events...no spamming just real useful stuff others like to know about...

like this one
A few of our programs specific to energy include:
there you'll find even more member resources like
•Rural Energy For America Program Grants/Renewable Energy Systems/Energy Efficiency Improvement Program (REAP/RES/EEI)(Section 9007)
•Rural Energy for America Program Grants/Energy Audit and Renewable Energy Development Assist (REAP/EA/REDA)(Section 9007)
•Rural Energy For America Program Grants (REAP Feasibility Study Grants)(Section 9007)
•Rural Energy for America Program Guaranteed Loan Program (REAP Loans)(Section 9007)
•Value-Added Producer Grant Program
•Business and Industry Guaranteed Loan Program
•Biorefinery Assistance Program (Section 9003)
•Section 9003 Interim Rule
•Section 9003 Application Guide
•Repowering Assistance Program (Section 9004)
•Bioenergy Program for Advanced Biofuels (Section 9005)
•Residential Energy Programs
•Direct and Guaranteed Electric Loan Program
•High Energy Cost Grants Program

So what da ya think???? Yea or Nay?

I guess the alternative is for the homeowners to allow foreclosure, let the banks take over the mortgage and flip the house for a profit. Good for the forces of greed but not so good for the people that are casualities of a ****** economy, that had health issues or simply just lost their job.

Many Americans are only 1 paycheck from homelessness. What a sad country America has become when the priorities are to send aid to countries that hate us, prop up those that profit in blood, subsidize with our tax dollars companies with record profits, and spend this kind of money on what?

costofwar.com...

And it's the conservatives that put the blame on Americans that have fallen on misfortune and hard times.

www.workingamerica.org...

Yes.........stop the war profiteering and invest in the infrastructure and America, the family home. Americans first!!

A section for this type of info could save some members from being out on the street.....
