LulzSec says it's dissolving itself

bigpondnews.com

A publicity-seeking hacker group that has left a trail of sabotaged websites over the last two months, including attacks on law enforcement and releases of private data, said unexpectedly on Saturday it is dissolving itself.

Lulz Security made its announcement through its Twitter account. It gave no reason for the disbandment, but it could be a sign of nerves in the face of law enforcement investigations. Rival hackers have also joined in the hunt, releasing information they say could point to the identities of the six-member group.

Hacker group Lulz says it is disbanding

As a parting shot, LulzSec released a grab-bag of documents and login information apparently gleaned from gaming websites and corporate servers.

The largest group of documents - 338 files - appears to be internal documents from ATT Inc, detailing its buildout of a new wireless broadband network in the US The network is set to go live this summer. An ATT spokesman could not immediately confirm the authenticity of the documents.

So i have to ask is this just some type of 'cover story' or dissinformation or are they indeed dispanding?

I still find it hard to beleive that Ryan Cleary was the supposed mastermind behond LulzSec but i have to ask why are they dispanding or reporting this information?

So either;

They got spooked by Ryan being caught, or this is just dissinformation to sidetrack people from thier organisation.

Thoughts?

They say that they're disbanding, when in all truth they're going to re-group under a new name and start again sometime before September.

I guess a new name wont bring as much media attention and/or FBI involvement/investigations.

Don't ask how I know this info or if I have any proof to back it up, you just have to trust me haha.

It wouldnt surprise me if that is the case.

Another theory i had is that they may actually be apart of Anon or linked but operating under a different name as an illusion..... just a thought though, i have no proof on that either.

They were linked origanally through the 4chan message boards.

Jesus christ this hasn't been breaking news for days now and it's been posted at least 4-5 times....

Use your brain, if it's more than 1-2 days old chances are it's been posted.

Relax man....geeez!

Half the OP crap on this site should be deleted because it contains hardly any information, no media or images to make the post more interesting and interactive.

BTW - It was only posted as MSM news within the past 24 hours and this forum requires proper MSM news links that are credible and contain decent information.... so if you dont have anything of value to add then dont bother posting in MY thread!

From what, and who, I know, yes, they're linked to them. LS do help them with certain assignments, and vice versa.
Oh man, you mention 4chan, that brings back memories haha. Back in the day I used to help moderate /b/, now it's full of 12yo's that think that they're 1337 for hacking into someones facebook/hotmail haha.

I can imagine if most of them are teenagers, then the arrest and imminent long-term incarceration of that poor kid in England, could well have spooked them.

Particularly if that poor damned kid in England has any sort of email contact or anything for the rest of the group anywhere on his computers that will be getting taken apart right now by the police.

I feel terribly sorry for him, he's going to get the book thrown at him, whether he was guilty or not. Just because the police have to be seen to be doing something about all this hacking.

They are teenagers, their names, addresses, Unis, webistes etc were posted online.

As soon as their personal details got leaked, they got unhappy and quit, ironic eh?

Yeah to be honest i am no expert on LulzSec or Anon but i came across this creepy clip online, i think it may be from chinese or Japanese MSM Online but for some reason the images were odd...

After watching it i started wondering if either Lulz or Anon were Chinese related, especially with all the economic crap going on, but that is a whole other thread

Yeh it's kinda harsh but in regard to Sony and many other big companies they did cause a fair bit of damage... perhaps they should have been working in IT for those companies, at least then they would have made some money

This kind of reminds me of Gary McKinnon, the guy the hacked NASA and supposedly saw images of UFO's and Moon anomolies in a secure server or PC.....

Now i am still undecided on what he actually saw was UFO related but he obviously hacked them as they are now after him.

Hacker fears 'UFO cover-up'

In 2002, Gary McKinnon was arrested by the UK's national high-tech crime unit, after being accused of hacking into Nasa and the US military computer networks.
He says he spent two years looking for photographic evidence of alien spacecraft and advanced power technology.

ahh ok, yeah the animations were kind of odd but i guess it varies with each country.

My talk of China econmics was unrelated to hackers for the most part and jsut to do with China's growing world and economic growth compared to many Western countries.

Wow, that surprises me that you think this way about them. They're going against the NWO, Amerivan gov (who've lied to us for ages) and other sources who've screwed us over- and that's all you can say? Have you ever seen "V for Vendetta"?
That is what they're trying to portray, and trust me, we're winning- as much as you don't like it.

DENY IGNORANCE.

No, they are just a bunch of people with the child like ambition to see their names in the newspapers.
They are not doing a damn thing for you or me or anyone other than themselves.

They're going against the NWO

How exactly is leaking the personal details of X Factor contestants, online gamers and members of porn sites ''going against'' this alleged ''NWO'' ?

They get their kicks out of breaching the security of high-profile websites, but they were clearly not operating under any guiding principles - other than the principles of achieving 15-minutes of fame and personal financial gain.

A group like this is not going to be your ''saviour'' from the so-called ''NWO''. I'm sorry to break it to you. The members of groups like LulzSec are every bit as self-serving and sociopathic as the people who you are apparently railing against.
