Originally posted by MisoirSo why are the most liberal states dropping their support of Obama rapidly while the most conservative states have barely dropped support if not gained support? That is a very difficult question and I do not have the answer.

It is because the hard core Liberals out there don't think he is a big enough Liberal, so many are withdrawing their support for him. For example, Obamacare - the hard core Liberals aren't happy because it didn't do enough (they wanted a single payer system). The wars - didn't end them. Gitmo - didn't close it.

The flaw IMO is that you are relying on polls. Polls are pure BS propaganda tools designed to shape public opinion and are almost always skewed in favor of democrats. When is the last time anyone called you to take a poll? I don't know of anyone who has ever been called. Who are they calling? People at home with land lines or cell phones? Who are they sampling? They sure as heck aren't calling me. Prime example - in 1980 Carter was ahead in "the polls" all the way to the 2nd debate... the race "tightened" yet somehow Reagan won in a landslide.

Excellent point. Good lawyers never ask a question they don't already know the answer to. I'm 56 yrs. old and they've never called me.

Kro you explained it. Where the large secular socialist states had high hopes for Obama to institute their dream of socialism that that pesky old constitution prohibited their dream. Being so indoctrinated they are unable to understand why being elected president is not the same as being a dictator and his failure to implement the change he promised has caused his drop in popularity. In states where people were aghast at his proposals nothing has changed. Those states had a majority that didn't like him and still don't. His drop in the polls is from the left not the right.

The Hard Left is mad that he hasn't stopped all the wars, and that instead of spending more money on entitlements, he is spending on war. Even Alec Baldwin said we should be spending more on entitlements. Pretty typical of a guilty white Hollywood guy.
