Geekzilla's intro

Hello everyone. I have been lurking around for a while in the space exploration and ufo forums, but I finally decided to set up an avatar and make my newbie intro post. I tend to be on the side of evidence and rationality rather than the side of paranoia or fantasy. I just wanted to make sure everything is working right before I continue my lurking.
