well numbers may be the way humans have figured out how to interpret certain truths ? so those truths exist outside numbers, but numbers are the best way we humans can access and understand them ?

Mr. Scientist,

This paper explains how the Chinese figured out how to use microwaves to improve them getting images of the United States:

www.springerlink.com...

Given that China admits to transmitting microwaves to the Gulf of Mexico..., could they have caused the wellhead safety shutoff failure of the deepwater horizon?

Since China has been experimenting with Microwaves to enhance their satellites getting images and data of the United States could the Chinese microwave emissions be the cause of animal die off's and our odd storms/weather?

They admit to using microwave weapons on the United States in that science paper.

So you're a scientist. I suppose you think that makes you smarter than the rest of us. Next you'll be saying that GM food is good for us and that man made global warming is true.
I hate to burst your ego bubble, but regardless of you're qualifications, you're in absolutely no position whatsoever to know anything about secret projects within the military.

Are you in a position to know anything about secret projects of the military? (Let's say besides what's on this board here.) You have access to the same Google as everyone else (more or less, depending on locality and browsing habits), so there are not very many tests that could conclusively prove you are anything but a plant.

Nobody has proved anything here, except that so far, the ATS boards seem to have an overwhelming number of self-righteous douchebags who think their "awakeness" gives them license to discredit (or attempt to anyway) any person with a challenging view. (Or even someone who needs convincing, maybe?)

Any idea how pathetically un-useful that is in a constructive conversation?

There are some people here who seriously need to be taken to task, because their rabid anti-outsider approach is exactly the sort of thing that will make real progress (by which I mean "Denying Ignorance") impossible. The thread took a very early swerve into ignorance and belligerence... and it seems to me that the people here should have some idea what the outcome of that combination is. It's hard to imagine why the human race is doomed.

Rather than gaining an education on what may or may not be going on in the world, and learning how to survive and face what is coming, people can look at this thread, and assume you have nothing useful to say.

And on that note, I think I'm going to hang up my hat. Enjoy your playground.

Maybe view Feynman's lecture on the Character of Physical Law. Mathematics is almost unreasonably effective at describing physics.

I would think the lack of posts from the OP since page 13 is due to the fact that he stated he was going to bed, and that he would reply to any remaining questions on his return. As far as his credibility is concerned.......well, let's just say that the jury is still deliberating

That isn't true at all. I have had the flu and laid in bed surfing the internet and chatting with friends. You are still able to function if you have the flu. It is just hard to get out of bed. Having the flu in no way prevents you from thinking or having a conversation.

Well I guess this is going nowhere. I'm moving on. OP, I hope if you post again, you won't start of by insulting people, because this is the result. There is enough room here for all of us, and no one person is better than another...just different points of view. So I'll leave you with this song....

In the same way this scientist finds our posts laughable, I find it laughable that he thinks he would somehow be privy to top-secret info as a theoretical physicist ... I could go into the science field if I wanted, and climb up the ladder, and I would never expect to get dibs on such info !

Moduli will not be back. He has already served his purpose in the board and that is to introduce himself as a man of science and gain the trust of ATS posters. Then he will go to business (as instructed to him) and deny the existence of alien visitations in our planet. Imagine that he is also denying the existence of the Roswell incident! He showed his true color in that instance. People here should not easily believe what they read from what they perceive to be "men of superior intelligence".

You say you're involved in string theory. Alright. With you there.

BUT, then you go on to say that there are no alien contacts, that there are no UFO technology that has been back-engineered, that our governments of the world have not secretly gotten technology that is hundreds, thousands or even millions of years in advance of our own limited technology.

You say that you read the boards here to laugh at us all. Thanks so much for that!

The only thing that I am convinced of here, is that you are a misinformation/disinformation specialist of some kind or another, and part of the lies, corruption and cover-up that has been PLAGUING the world and going on at least in the U.S. for quite some time.

That you're in a field specific research does NOT give you the right, who are uninformed, as we ALL know that many of these things are SO COMPARTMENTALIZED that the right hand does NOT know what the left hand is doing, in so MANY of our governmental agencies.

So I will write you off here, as an arrogant intellectual, who knows nothing, even though he purports to know everything, and seems to me to be taking quite the ill-informed stance here on a a number of subjects.

I hope you ARE annoyed by the GOOD THINKING PEOPLE here who can see through your hyperbole and innunendo that we are nothing but crackpots because we believe in a greater truth, and that awakening is happening ALL OVER OUR WORLD, to the fact that extraterrestrial and inter-dimensional life does indeed exist. The fact that we have a secret space navy has been touted all over the internet, and is no longer such a secret. Look it up. MANY pictures and names named.

People like you are the VERY reason NASA was essentially shut down, because they were so highly secretive and corrupt, they didn't want ANY of us taxpayers knowing what they have engineered or what they were up to. Off-world or otherwise. NASA is now no longer the sole progenitor of our space travel, and I am certain that we shall be made more aware, as our awareness is growing, of the B.S. that we've been shoveled by people like yourself in the past.

Like many, I am concerned, thoughtful and prayerful over the unknown, and what and who may come to visit us here on Earth. But as one who has awakened to the truth of Earth's past synchronicity with these beings, I say, let us meet, and let us learn from those whose civilizations have been around for millions and even billions of years in advance of our own. We might just be surprised with how much we have in common.

Okay great. I am not saying with certainty that the op is who he says he is but none of those threads reflected any intelligence whatsoever. I see a lot of people attempting to disprove his claim with things they have little understanding of themselves. It isn't so outrageous to think a theoretical physicist has come to participate on ATS. The people who feel insulted by the op evidently are very fragile. I did not see anything insulting in his post. He simply stated that he derives some entertainment from the paranoid delusional type. Nothing wrong with that, I do as well.

Hello Moduli,

I hope you are all better by now.

My warmest of sincere welcomes to you.

I am not as frequent nowadays but i must relay that its a priviledge having you about.

Respectfully,
George

Also, it wasn't the variable notation that was important. It was the form of the equation. He should easily have recognized it as the action integral for the first-order Lagrangian of a spin-1/2 particle.

It's like asking what this is:

y = (-m +/1 sqrt[m^2 -4nh])/2n

Anyone familiar with the quadratic formula would recognize that for what it is, even though the variables are represented by different letters.

The simple truth is that the OP was just having a little fun to pass the day. It's really irrelevant whether he actually is or is not a scientist, it is clear that he knew the responses he would receive from the ATS members and was relishing them. I followed this thread for a few hours, also knowing what to expect........

There are some very nice polite members who took him on his word and asked some physics questions, there were others that just like to be critical of any post they read whether it is from a semantic viewpoint or just because another person does not express themselves in a way that is acceptable to the member, then you have the saddest of all members.................the know-alls who believe that they are smarter than everyone else and want to keep posting others into submission - most of the time with such nit-picking arguments.

Finally, of course, we have the accusers and insulters who immediately label posters as liars, trolls or disinfo-agents.....

What I really don't understand is why there is so much emotion involved in some of the posts (in all the forums, actually). What are people trying to prove? Is this their whole life? Why is it so important to keep up these childish arguments to try and prove that you're smarter than everyone else when we all know that the majority of people are just googling stuff to try and show they are knowledgeable about the subject........it really is sad to read the continuing bickering of certain members who are desperate just to be right. It's not debating, it's simple juvenile bickering.

I find this site very useful for finding out new stories and information (I avoid the MSM for everything apart from sports results) but get frustrated by so many posters who sound like 12-year olds in a schoolyard argument (using their mobiles to google answers!!! lol).

I know I've strayed from the subject but my point is after the many pages of this thread, I feel that the OP just wanted to read all the different kinds of responses and keep stoking the fire - all the while answering any legitimate questions he received.

I really can't believe that this thread has gone on for so long debating whether he is a scientist and who is the smartest poster.........I think the OP got a real laugh out of all of you.......well done, lol.

page 34 and counting.. Filled with questions. Haha.
How long are you planning on being sick?

If you have the time, please watch at least SOME of the lecture given by Thomas Campbell entitled "My Big TOE" (Theory Of Everything) And tell me if he has lost it?

Ohh. And do you have any thoughts on Rupert Sheldrake?

Im not putting my hopes up. With all the questions poring in ;-)

By the way thank for posting. And welcome among us nutters.

Nice work
I hope the fraudulent OP has learned his lesson and will troll ATS no more. Maybe someone from the moderator team could move this thread to [HOAX!] and change the title to something more appropriate like "I'm not a scientist but I played one on ATS"

Just throwing this out there but from a physical standpoint, I believe light has varying speeds based upon the density of matter from which it traverses to the effect of gravity on it. Do you think it is possible? That light could travel at different velocities depending on its location in the universe? Since mass is energy, therefore E = M, then in that equation only the velocity of light (c^2) would be a changable variable. I am not a physicist or a member of the scientific community, but this is a question that has always bothered me.

Or, does the light change from one wave type to another depending on its change in velocity, given that light is both a particle and a wave? Not sure how the wavelength or amplitude would be affected, but I have always been curious.

Oh, and welcome to ATS, try not to get offended by certain memebers, some cannot help themselves in there 'zeal' for the truth.

PS: One last question, does it ever get frustrating knowing that 10 or 15 years from now 90% of what you hold to be true will be proven false? Our knowledge doubles every five years now I believe, and I remember a biologist telling me that "90% of what I'm about to teach will likely be wrong ten years from now." I asked him what the point was if science was always wrong, and he said that humans enjoy the idea they are correct more than they enjoy the truth. Thoughts?
