I am very sorry. The video is by Daniel López. Nasa puts an astronomy picture/video of the day up everyday and that was one of them. Beautiful video and a very talented videographer!!

I hope we wipe ourselves out before we get to wiping out such landscapes.

It's always nice to see nature at work without any humans involved.

Thanks for the video.

As I was watching this, I wondered if it was the lack of humans that made it so beautiful. When people say the earth isn't over-populated and that we can hold billions more people, I picture a dirty, ugly planet. Why is it more difficult to see the beauty of the earth when people cover the planet? I find that interesting.

Heaven is on earth...

How could one ask for anything more than just to be alive on this beautifull planet

It's not a NASA video. We must try to get the very basics correct if anyone is going to continue to give this site any credibility.

Nice video, but wrong information.

By cutting and pasting you are not adding any value of than bearer. Try doing a quick bit of research to the subject of the post to add value that is truely yours.

You'll be ahead of most of the mainstream media professionals if you do that.
It's called journalism.

I wonder what it would feel like standing on that mountain and being in super dense clouds like those. Scary thought but id do it for the experience.

I think it would be rather wet and cold. Plus a very early start in the middle of nowhere.

Excuse me but i got that video and ALL the other videos AND images from the NASA Website. ATS is filled with "debunkers" that never fully read the Original Post (OP). I am not here to fight or argue over semantics. I am simply here to share information to the best of my ability. I would never intentionally deny anyone of their credibility.

The "Powers of Ten"

Explanation: How different does the universe look on small, medium, and large scales? The most famous short science film of its generation gives breathtaking comparisons. That film, Powers of Ten, originally created in the 1960s, has now been officially posted to YouTube and embedded above. Please click the above arrow to see the nine minute movie for yourself. From a picnic blanket near Chicago out past the Virgo Cluster of Galaxies, every ten seconds the film zooms out to show a square a factor of ten times larger on each side. The video then reverses, zooming back in a factor of ten every two seconds and ends up inside a single proton. The Powers of Ten sequence is actually based on the book Cosmic View by Kees Boeke in 1957, as is a similar but mostly animated film Cosmic Zoom that was also created in the late 1960s. The changing perspectives are so enthralling and educational that sections have been recreated using more modern computerized techniques, including the first few minutes of the movie Contact, and in a short digital video called The Known Universe created last year for the American Museum of Natural History. Ray and husband Charles Eames, the film's creators, were known as quite visionary spirits and even invented their own popular chair.
