I don't even remember where I saw this thing. It looks like some kind of deformed buzzard to me. I tried the usual tricks to find it (tineye etc.) with no results.

I'm certain its something I just haven't seen before and a member will give a definition within a few minutes. Either way, imagine that face staring at you in the middle of the night!

It's a deformed cat. No doubt about it. Highlight the pic, you can see the cat fur and everything, as if the pupils weren't a dead give away.

I thought the eyes were incredibly cat-like and I did note the fur. Damn I've never seen a cat like that before. Any idea if this is some common mutation or anything?

the eye on the right seems like a marble of other piece of glass shaped into an eye. the fur could be anything from a halloween store. the flesh seems real enough

it looks to me like two fake eyes on a real wound or flesh from a butcher shop

Bam! Nice and thanks for the answer. That cat does not seem like the best idea for a therapy animal to me but what do I know? Poor thing sure is creepy looking.

I cried for ten minutes after seeing this.
My heart hurts for this kitty.
I hope he's loved and well.

And if this is the case of OP's pic which I feared I hope he's ok too.

At first I thought it might be some sick cat abuse fu__.

That is very sad and not a laughing matter(to people posting to kill the cat with fire, reminds me of yahoo question and answer posts filled with "step on it lawl" to reply to people's questions), good that she's helping disfigured people, but I feel potential risk for infection and proptosis. Hopefully someone, wish I could(going to see what I can do/suggest to the rescuer...cranial facial implant/s by magnets?), make her a prosthetic.

Sorry not my intent to upset anyone. Sounds like the cat has a great owner and is out helping people. IMO they should have put it down if it had it's face ripped off in a car accident.

Michael Jackson reincarnated, is that you?

too soon for some?

Edit to say, poor kitty, I would have put it to sleep too, don't understand some people.

Poor baby! I'm so glad she has someone to love her. She was hit by a car as a kitten. At least there is a happy ending.

Just wondering if anyone read the blog of Chase No face. It seems that she lives quite comfortably and well, and is well loved and taken care of. I have to give props to the vet tech who decided to take her in and to the animal hospital who gave her a chance. Yeah she's ugly but if that was the only reason to put something down, ATS would sure be an empty place... (snickers) ... Just kidding

I read it and was going to post it but didn't. Yeah Chase " according to the cats own words", lives a happy life, full of cricket chasing and couch sitting, and all with only one eyelid.

I actually had not read the blog but now will be delving in. I'm glad a beautiful animal has a chance! May not match my standards as cuddly, but a sweetheart is a sweetheart!

Aww. Poor thing.

I'd also probably have had it put to sleep because that had to have really hurt it for a long time while it healed. Shows how wrong you could be at first glance.

But at least she's got a good home and someone who loves her. It could've been a lot worse.
