If the OP has moved to 'property development; I fail to see how that is some evolutionary leap out of the system. I am absolutely incredulous that he/she thinks they are no longer 'part of the machine'. You are still well entrenched in the system my friend, even though you might be taking a fresh look at things.

I never claimed any evolutionary leaps friend, but I certainly have more options to chase in life now, with useful practical skills and less risk of a direct paymaster who can sack/sanction me if I publicly disagree with him/her.

If it's helpful I'll re-phrase it to:

[edit]a little bit more [/edit] 'free of the machine' (as far as our perception of freedom goes)

...I'm a 'he' as well, just for any future reference
